: Lauren Baldonado, an assistant professor in the Department of Special Education and Literacy at SUNY New Paltz is conducting a study to learn more about the experiences and perspectives of Filipino/Filipino American caregiver experiences on applied behavior analysis (ABA) services.
Participants Needed for Research Study on Filipino Caregiver Experiences with ABA Services
You are invited to participate in this study if you:
-Are 18 years or older
-Identify as Filipino or Filipino American
-Currently live in California
-Are a parent/caregiver of a child diagnosed with autism
-Your child receives or has ever received ABA services (at least completed the first assessment)
What to expect:
-Anonymous online survey (approximately 10-15 minutes)
-Questions about the type of ABA services your child receives/received, what made it harder or easier to get those services, and your thoughts on how ABA providers listened to your cultural background
-Optional follow-up interview over Zoom (approximately 60 minutes)
Participation is optional and you can skip any questions you do not want to answer.
