On Saturday March 21, 2026 from 9am - 1pm there will be a Carol Stream Communitywide Blood Drive, coordinated by our Knights of Columbus Council in partnership with the Rotary Club of Carol Stream, and in partnership with Bags for Life Foundation and the generosity of our host location, 's Gaming Bar & Grill - 552 N Gary Ave Carol Stream IL.

Today, Sunday, October 26th , while 9 Brother Knights were busy serving in a variety of capacities at the 8am Mass at Corpus Christi Carol Stream , 8 awesome Brother Knights were busy carrying on a 30 year tradition of "Adopt A Highway" and picked up trash for the 4th and final time this calendar year, walking Lies Road from Fair Oaks to County Farm Road.

Several Knights and some spouses attended 5pm Mass at Corpus Christi Carol Stream today and then we all gathered for a wonderful dinner and fellowship at Legends Pizza in Carol Stream.

Today, our Knights of Columbus Council , Corpus Christi Council #10958, is at the Jewel on Army Trail and County Farm Road , for the Annual "Tootsie Roll" drive, where 100% of monies collected are donated to organizations that work with people with Disabilities, including WDSRA Cupertino Homes, Claire Woods Academy, National Association for Downs Syndrome, Children of Mary.

Please stop by Jewel today and donate to.this. Great cause.

Next week Saturday we will be at Caputos on Schamle & North Ave.

And a special shout out to fellow Knight Mark Smarto, whose wife is the Executive Director for National Association for Down Syndrome (N**S), for helping today along with their daughter Julia and Giagnori. Thank you

Today, I had the great pleasure of delivering lunch to 50++ volunteers at the DuPage Country Fairgrounds. These volunteers are working with Catholic Charities of The Joliet Diocese for the Annual Back To School Fair, where those families in need of support come through and get backpacks and needed supplies for their school-aged children.

Our Council, Carol Stream Knights of Columbus Council #10958 , from Corpus Christi Catholic Church, is able to donate lunch now, going on our 6th year maybe, in part because of the extreme thoughtfulness and generosity of Matt McCarthy and the rest of the Carol Stream Relay For Life Bags Tournament committee https://www.facebook.com/share/14FKCBD9moM/ because through their thoughtful annual donation to our Council, we are able to continue to support various Community and Charitable outreach efforts like this that benefit our community and friends.

UPDATED WITH NEW INCENTIVE FOR ALL DONORS:

Dear Carol Stream Community, We have been promoting this Community wide Blood Drive now for approximately 1 month. Unfortunately, as of midnight last night, there are no registered donors. I suggested cancelling, but Versiti Blood Center of Illinois and blood banks are SO LOW on blood supply right now they are, as of now, keeping it open. Please consider pre-registering with enthusiasm and an open heart as all blood types are in need.

Rotary Club of Carol Stream John Zalak Matt McCarthy Joe Anselmo Jim Guthrie , Jen Anselmo, Frank Saverino, Mary Frusalone, Jeff Berger, always appreciate your support of our Blood Drives as we condone Team Carol Stream" to have broader reach and participation. We still have 15 or so slots to fill so appreciate you continued promotion of this Event . We've had nice support from Mapleberry Pancake House, Legends Pizza, Village Tavern, Fozzy's, McCAlliaters for putting up flyers as well as the Library and Park District allowing flyers up. Your additional "rah rah" as well as what our Knights of Columbus Corpus Christi Council #10958 and the Rotary Club of Carol Stream is doing to promote this is greatly appreciated
