Let the countdown to Summer Solstice begin! This year, we are celebrating a milestone year, with our 10th annual evening under the trees taking place next Saturday, June 20th!

Did you know that the incredible hours our volunteers put in during 2025 saved Sacramento County $698,636.70? 🪵🍃 Every hour you spend clearing trails, pulling invasive plants, removing trash, and painting picnic tables helps keep the American River Parkway thriving and saves hundreds of thousands of dollars annually!

Help us congratulate our Volunteer of the Year, Leanne Gangler!

For the last three years and over the course of 263 hours, Leanne has become a staple in the ARPF office as an Office Volunteer and at events like Summer Solstice, Burger Battle, and more.

"I'm grateful that I can help the team at the Parkway Foundation," Leanne shared. "There are so many things you can do on the Parkway to help upkeep it for the community. I just love how beautiful the Parkway is, how it follows the flow of the river. You can see so much wildlife in a short span of time, and it’s so tranquil and clean. It’s a good place to volunteer.”

We love when corporate teams volunteer with us on the Parkway🫶 Thank you to the teams from Audacy , Teichert , Centene, and Liberty Mutual for joining us in April and May!

There are lots of opportunities for corporate teams to make an impact on the Parkway, from clean-ups and invasive plant removal to trail maintenance and native garden work🪏Not to mention, it's a great way to get outdoors for some quality team bonding time!
