Spend Labor Day weekend rafting on the American River with American River Raft Rentals!

If you're looking for something fun to do during the three-day weekend, try one of American River Raft Rentals' floats, including:
🛶Short Float: a 1 to 2 hour rafting trip that launches at Sailor Bar and ends at Lower Sunrise
🛶Classic Float: a 3 to 4 hour rafting trip that launches at Lower Sunrise and ends at River Bend

Both floats offer incredible views of the American River Parkway, places to stop and enjoy a picnic or some hiking, and the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the local wildlife that makes the Parkway so special💚

Happy Labor Day!

The Great American River Clean-Up is only a few weeks away! If you're looking to explore the American River Parkway while helping to make a difference in the community, volunteer with us from 9 am to 12 pm on Saturday, September 19th!

We are still looking for volunteers to join us at a few 18+ sites, including:
🌳Township 9 Park
🌳Cal Expo/Ethan Way River Access
🌳Northgate/Woodlake Area

While these spots are just as beautiful as anywhere else on the Parkway, volunteers must be 18+ to help at these sites because of th debris and materials you might find.

And a special thank you to our 2026 GARCU sponsors, including PG&E, Balanced Body, California Coastal Commission, Sacramento Area Sewer District, Kaiser Permanente, Carollo, Sacramento Suburban Water District, Sacramento Regional Transit, Carmichael Water District, Sacramento Wheelmen, Saccani, and SCS Engineers!

Sign up to volunteer at GARCU at www.ARPF.org/GARCU!

Become a Monthly Donor and help us keep the American River Parkway thriving and open to everyone!

Like so many of you, the American River Parkway Foundation believes that the American River Parkway's 23 miles of river, ecosystem, and community space are the greatest civic amenity in the region🌳🚴‍♀️🐇 As a monthly donor, you help us conserve this natural gem and support:
💚Education for the next generation about the environment
💚Creation of spaces for families to gather
💚Reduction of wildfire risk while establishing native restoration

In addition, your monthly gift will help ensure the American River Parkway remains the only Parkway in the country that runs directly through a city's urban core, connecting neighborhoods, cultures, and a thriving river and greenbelt.

Support the American River Parkway today by becoming a Monthly Donor here: https://arpf.org/monthly-giving/

Thank you to the volunteers who joined us last week to beautify Howe Ave River Access!

The native plant area by the restrooms needed some sprucing up, so volunteers weeded the area and laid mulch to help the native plants thrive🌱 Our beautification projects strive to make the Parkway more welcoming for all, and your generous support, both financially and as a volunteer, ensures these projects are impactful for the community.

Visit Howe Ave River Access this weekend to see the completed beautification project for yourself! Afterwards, trek the multi-use trail, launch a kayak, or just relax on the banks and enjoy your weekend on the beautiful American River Parkway😎
