Throwback Thursday: Casa Nueva in San Diego’s East Village.

This 52-unit rehabilitation transformed an existing affordable housing community through major system upgrades, interior renovations, and improvements designed to support residents for years to come—all while the building remained occupied throughout construction.

Tonight, we’re looking forward to celebrating alongside the affordable housing community at the Ruby Awards, where Casa Nueva has been nominated for Project of the Year – Rehabilitation.

May. Done right. 🙌

Affordable Housing Month brought a lot of moments worth holding onto—from the Abrazo 5K with Casa Familiar and the Murph on Memorial Day to the McAlister Institute Miracles of Recovery Luncheon.

Projects continued to move forward, with Mulberry making progress and Mirasol Meadows nearing completion. Team members also represented Allgire at industry conferences, while a few enjoyed some well-earned time in Hawaii before a busy summer ahead.

Purpose showed up in the work. People showed up for each other. Momentum kept building.

We’re grateful for every team member, trade partner, and community partner who made May one to remember. Looking ahead to all that June will bring. ☀️🏗️🌴
