Arts Council of Southeast Missouri The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri was founded in 1961 by metalsmith Otto F. Dingeldein, to encourage artistic awareness, participation, and expression.

Our mission is to provide a forum for residents and artists of the Southeast Missouri region to explore, experience, and share in the diversity and excitement of the visual, literary, performing, culinary, and healing arts.

Pride in the Park will be hosted on June 14th by Pride Cape LLC! The event will be happening at Capaha park in Cape Girardeau from 10am to 7pm. The arts council and PFlag will be there from 10am to 5pm. The event is for the whole family and will have entertainment, food trucks, drag shows, music, and more!

The Arts Council and PFlag will be set up at Pride with a collaborative quilt project where you can leave a supportive message. This piece will then be traveling to affirming businesses on our mapping project and be on display for the next 12 months!

We can't wait to see you there!

Alex is a student at Southeast Missouri State University and in his senior year of his Bachelors of Arts with an emphasis on Painting. He will be helping the council on day to day operations, social media, gallery management, and our upcoming summer events!
