This spring, the Missouri Department of Public Safety and our state partners warned about the extreme danger posed by nitazenes – synthetic opioids considered five to 10 times more dangerous than fentanyl. Health authorities were concerned because these lab-made opioids were showing up in wastewater sampling from Missouri schools and in counterfeit pills, powders and vapes.
‼️⚠️Now, another dangerous synthetic opioid that’s also considered to be up to 10 times more deadly than fentanyl – cychlorphine – is concerning health officials across the country.
▶️Los Angeles County has just confirmed its first death linked to cychlorphine.
▶️In April, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy reported 55 deaths had been linked to cychlorphine dating back to 2025.
Cychlorphine suppresses breathing, causing severe, life-threatening respiratory and cardiovascular depression.
It is currently undetectable by fentanyl testing strips and is being mixed into the illicit drug supply without people knowing.

▶️Naloxone works with cychlorphine, just as it does with nitazenes. But multiple doses may be required to reverse an overdose caused by opioids.
▶️Treat any illicit substance as a potential risk. Stay informed, stay prepared, avoid illicit substances and carry naloxone. It’s safe to use and saves lives.

💝 ❶ YOU FEEL UNSAFE, EVEN WHEN YOU'RE SAFE
Your body stays on high alert long after the relationship has ended.

đź’ť âť· YOU APOLOGIZE FOR THINGS THAT AREN'T YOUR FAULT
Years of blame have conditioned you to take responsibility for everything.

💝 ❸ YOU SECOND-GUESS EVERY DECISION
You no longer trust your own judgment because it was repeatedly questioned or dismissed.

đź’ť âťą YOU LIVE IN CONSTANT HYPERVIGILANCE
You instinctively scan faces, voices, and moods for signs that something bad is about to happen.

đź’ť âťş YOU FEEL GUILTY FOR SETTING BOUNDARIES
Saying "no" feels dangerous because it once triggered punishment, rejection, or emotional abuse.

đź’ť âť» YOU STRUGGLE WITH BRAIN FOG AND MEMORY PROBLEMS
Chronic stress makes it difficult to concentrate, remember details, or think clearly.

💝 ❼ YOU EXPECT LOVE TO HURT
Kindness feels unfamiliar, while chaos and unpredictability feel strangely normal.

đź’ť âť˝ YOU FEEL NUMB OR EMOTIONALLY DETACHED
Instead of feeling everything, you sometimes feel nothing at all as a way of surviving overwhelming pain.

đź’ť âťľ YOUR BODY CARRIES THE TRAUMA
You experience chronic fatigue, insomnia, headaches, digestive problems, muscle tension, anxiety, or panic without realizing how much your nervous system has endured.

đź’ť âťż YOU NO LONGER RECOGNIZE YOURSELF
The confident, joyful person you once were feels like someone you can barely remember.

đź’™ MY FINAL THOUGHTS

These experiences are common in people who have lived through prolonged interpersonal trauma, but they are not enough on their own to diagnose Complex PTSD. If these patterns deeply affect your daily life, a qualified mental health professional can help assess what's happening and support your recovery. Healing is possible, and your nervous system can learn that it is safe again.

I never want to become so focused on what someone else did wrong that I stop noticing what resentment is doing inside of me!🥹🙏

Their actions may require honesty, consequences, distance, or boundaries.

👉 But my heart still belongs to Jesus.

I do not want another person’s sin to become permission for bitterness in mine.

Lord, help me extend the grace I am so grateful to receive from You.🤎✝️

God sees you, even in the moments when you feel overlooked by everyone else.

Your worth was never meant to be measured by someone's ability to love you.

You are already seen, known, and valued by the One who created you.
