These nominations are a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared heart for children and families. We are so grateful for our incredible team, volunteers, donors, and community partners who make this work possible.

It’s Village Friday! 💙

The need for connection and support doesn’t end with adoption!

This week, our Caregiver Support Coordinator, Ashley, sits down with Sam, a caregiver who shares why having a village around you is so important throughout the foster care journey and beyond.

At Foster Village SWFL, we believe that support shouldn’t stop when a child’s permanency is established. Families still need encouragement, connection, and a community that continues to show up for them.

Because foster care may be part of their story, but the need for a village lasts far beyond it.

It takes a village because no family should have to walk this journey alone. 🫶

Walking together for a safer future for children! 🚶

This past Saturday, our Foster Village SWFL village joined Childrens Network Walk Against Child Abuse, standing alongside others in our community who believe every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and protected.

At Foster Village, we believe it takes a village to support children and the families who care for them. We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up, raises awareness, and works together to make a difference in the lives of children.

Thank you to Children’s Network for bringing our community together for such an important cause, and to everyone who walked alongside us!

Together, we can be part of the change. 🎉

What a beautiful picture of faith, family, and the power of Jesus! 🤍

Two of our team members, Hannah and Ashley, had the privilege of attending the baptism of one of our caregivers, and it was such a sweet moment to witness. But what happened next made it even more special.

At the end, he shared that one day, he hoped to see his boys take that same step of faith. One by one, his boys began sharing how much they love Jesus and that they wanted to be baptized, too. And then… they ALL did! 🥹🙌

What started as celebrating one dad’s public declaration of faith turned into an entire family taking that step together. Moments like these remind us that walking alongside families is about so much more than meeting immediate needs. It’s about relationships, encouragement, and getting to witness the beautiful ways God is working in their lives.

We are so thankful to be part of this village and to celebrate these life-changing moments alongside the families we serve. ❤️

One house. One year. So much love. 💙🏡 HAPPY VILLAGE FRIDAY!

This Village Friday, we’re celebrating ONE YEAR of open doors at our Cape Coral Resource Center!

Before moving into this house, Foster Village SWFL spent two years serving children and families impacted by foster care across Southwest Florida. This welcoming space has helped us continue that mission—providing resources, connection, and support to families throughout SWFL.

From the first coat of paint to every donated item, volunteer hour, and family welcomed—you have helped make this house a village. A special thank-you to First Cape Church for making room for this mission to grow!

Watch the before and after, and celebrate with us. It takes a village, and there’s always room in ours! As we continue to grow this village, we’re forever thankful to everyone who makes it possible 💙

💙Our village is showing up for families in the Panhandle!

We’re collecting donations to support families in the Panhandle, and we’d love for our SWFL community to come together to help!

If you’d like to donate, items can be dropped off or shipped directly to our Resource Center by Friday, October 16.

Every donation makes a difference, and we’re so grateful for a community that continues to show up for families in need. Together, we can remind families that they’re not alone. 💙

Happy Village Friday! 🩵 Our Cape Coral Resource Center is turning ONE on October 18!

Foster Village SWFL has been serving families across Southwest Florida for about three years, and today we’re looking back on our first year with these doors open. From Welcome Packs to moments of connection, this space has grown into a place where children and caregivers can find support and community.

To everyone who has donated, volunteered, and helped fill this house with love—thank you for being part of our story. 🏡
