Happy VILLAGE FRIDAY ✨

A busy day behind the scenes at Foster Village! 💛

From dropping off backpacks for our Fill a Backpack drive, to picking up Kacie’s truck, to tackling a BIG storage unit clean-out—we were on the move all day!

Our storage unit may not be the most glamorous part of what we do, but it plays a huge role in helping us serve foster families. It holds so many of the supplies we’re able to provide when families need support, so keeping it organized and stocked means we can respond quickly when the need comes.

And we ended the day at our Caregiver Gathering, loving on our amazing caregivers… with a very special four-legged guest! 🐾

So much of what happens at Foster Village happens behind the scenes. Boxes are moved, supplies are sorted, backpacks are collected, spaces are organized, and people show up—all so that when a foster family needs support, their Village is ready. 💛

WELCOME TO THE VILLAGE, GIANNA! 🎉

We are SO excited to officially welcome Gianna to the Foster Village SWFL team as our Administrative Coordinator! 💛

Gianna will be helping with all things administrative, supporting our Resource Center, and jumping in wherever she’s needed to help keep things running smoothly. We’re so excited to have her heart, energy, and willingness to serve as part of our team!

And if you’re part of our Village, you may already know her… Gianna is also the daughter of our Director of Operations, Kacie! 🥰 We love getting to see the Village grow not only through the families and caregivers we serve, but through the people who feel called to come alongside us and serve.

We are so excited for this next season of growth and all that God is doing through Foster Village SWFL. Welcome to the team, Gianna! We’re so happy you’re here! 💛🏡

Today’s need: NEW boys’ outfits in sizes 4T–6T!

Help us fill the Resource Center with brand-new clothes for boys entering foster care. 🫶 Every item is a reminder that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

Happy Village Friday! 🎉

When we talk about the Connect pillar at Foster Village, we’re talking about so much more than simply bringing people together.

It’s connecting caregivers to resources.
Connecting families to people who understand.
Connecting volunteers to opportunities to serve.
Connecting our community to families who need support.

Because foster care was never meant to be walked alone. And when we connect the Village around a family, we strengthen the support surrounding the child. ❤️

That’s what it means to be a Village.

One year ago today… and we’re honestly just in awe. 🥹🩵

Looking back at where we were one year ago is almost hard to believe.

The donations that poured through our doors. The countless hours spent sorting, organizing, cleaning, building, and preparing. The people who showed up and said, “How can I help?”

And most importantly, all the ways God worked things out so that we could even have a Resource Center here in Lee County. 🙏🏼

It took so many hours, so many hands, and so much faith to get the Resource Center ready to open its doors—and looking back, we can see God’s hand in every step.

One year later, we are SO excited for what’s ahead. We dream big because we serve a God who can do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine. ✨

We don’t know exactly what the next year will hold, but we know God has a plan, and we’re just incredibly thankful to be a part of it.

Here’s to one year of watching God build the Village—and we can’t wait to see what He does next. 🩵

Serve Day 🤍

Next Level Church showed up and SERVED in a big way! 🙌🏼

They worked inside and outside to help us organize, sort, and tag backpacks for donation drives!

Thank you, Next Level Church, for giving your time, getting your hands dirty, and helping us connect, equip, and advocate for our families.

This is what serving looks like. And we’re so grateful. 🫶🏼

Village Friday 🎉

At the heart of Foster Village is one simple mission:

Connect. Equip. Advocate.

Because behind every request is a child and a family walking through a season they never expected.

We exist to make sure they don’t have to walk through it alone.

That’s why we started Village Friday—to give you a glimpse into the why behind what we do, the people we serve, and the village that makes it all possible.

From our Resource Center to every welcome pack, backpack, volunteer, and donation…

it all comes back to one thing: showing families they are seen, supported, and surrounded.

This is the heart behind Foster Village. 🤍

🎒Finemark Bank is helping us fill more than backpacks—they’re helping us fill the gaps for kids in foster care!

A HUGE thank you to Finemark Bank for stepping up and hosting a Fill a Backpack donation drive for Foster Village SWFL! 🙌

Each backpack is tagged with an age and gender, and community members fill it with items specifically chosen for that child’s stage of life. These backpacks help us fill the gaps in our Resource Center so that when a child enters foster care, we have items ready to meet their needs. ❤️

And now, we’re inviting YOU to join Finemark Bank and help us fill more backpacks! It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!

3. Return it filled and ready to bless a child
