Our boys mentoring group was tasked with preparing dinner for both groups and the staff. They prepared tacos, and quesadillas that were simply delicious.

At the Be a Better Me Foundation providing bikes is a one of the big things we do! We have multiple events throughout the year where we give away bikes. At Christmas time we do our Pop-Up Bike Giveaway and at Fathers Day we do our Fathers Day Bike Rodeo! Our goal is to give away as many bikes as possible! Recently our friend Jennie Borden Frustaci and her crew at Synchrony purchased and assembled bikes to donate to these campaigns! Today we want to recognize VFW Post 3747! The VFW will be receiving the Sponsorship in Excellence Award at our Shining Brighter: 11th Year Celebration Gala on Saturday October 10th. The VFW has been a major supporter of ours through the years and we can’t thank them enough for everything they have done to support our mission. Today we would like to recognize Nick Conley! Nick is the owner of Conley Service LLC. Nick will be receiving our Mentoring Academy Support in Excellence Award at our upcoming Gala on Saturday October 10th. Nick was chosen for this award because of all the work he has done for us through the years of keeping our transportation up and running! Nick has serviced our vehicles so we are able to continue transporting our mentoring kids to and from different outings! We can’t thank Nick enough for his dedication and support to our foundation. We would like to take a minute to congratulate Lester Sanders! Lester will be awarded the Change in Excellence Award at our Shining Brighter: 11th Year Celebration Gala on Saturday October 10th! Lester was chosen for this award for everything he does for the youth of Stark County. Lester has been and continues to be a positive influence on the youth in the area!
