We want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to our Blessing Box here at the Gluckstadt Police Department.

Because of your generosity, we’ve been able to stock the shelves with food and essential items to help those in need throughout our community. This is what Gluckstadt is all about—neighbors helping neighbors.

We encourage anyone in need to take what they need, and for those who are able, please continue to give when you can. Every donation—big or small—makes a difference.

Together, we are making a positive impact.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a significant winter storm and dangerously cold temperatures Friday night through the weekend. If you're popping into the grocery store, consider buying some shelf-stable items, just in case.

Some ideas...
Grains: bread, crackers, bagged popcorn, pretzels, dry cereal, and rice cakes

Protein: canned meats and fish, nuts, seeds, protein bars and nut butter

Fruit: dried fruit, canned/packaged fruit in individual containers, and 100% fruit juice boxes

Vegetables: canned vegetables, 100% vegetable juice in individual containers, and canned low-sodium soup

Dairy: shelf-stable milk and boxed cheese

Other: bottled water, jugs of water, disposable plates & silverware, manual can opener, lighter and batteries

I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season!The Blessing Box is currently stocked with canned vegetables but would greatly appreciate donations of shelf-stable meals (canned raviloi, spaghetti, tuna, chicken,etc) and personal care items.
