Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated honors Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, as an historic moment in American history. On June 19, 1865, news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached the last enslaved individuals in Galveston, Texas, marking the true beginning of freedom for all.

We proudly recognize the efforts of our own trailblazing Soror, Opal Lee, the “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” whose unwavering advocacy helped make Juneteenth a federally recognized holiday in 2021.

Today, we celebrate emancipation, reflect on our ancestors’ strength and resilience, and recommit to the work of advancing justice, equity, and unity. Through education, action, and solidarity, we move closer to a world rooted in true freedom for all.

💜 The Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Tau Phi Zeta Chapter observes World Elder Abuse Awareness Day by standing against the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older adults.

Elder abuse can happen to anyone, regardless of age, race, or background. Together, we can make a difference by recognizing the signs, speaking up, and supporting those who may be vulnerable. Together, let’s Recognize. Respect. Report. Support. and advocate for the dignity and well-being of our elders.

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc—Tau Phi Zeta Chapter and our Archonettes spent the morning at the Nichols Center in Madison, MS. The ladies shared music, line dancing, board games, and laughter with the residents, while our amazing Archonettes pampered the women with nail painting. We are honored to give quality time to our elderly community and looking forward to coming again.

Charter Day Week came to a close today with praise and worship at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church in Madison, MS. 💙🤍🕊️

We were delighted to welcome the Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Tau Phi Zeta Chapter, who joined us for worship this morning. Their presence added to the spirit of fellowship and worship as we gathered together in praise and thanksgiving. We appreciate their visit and thank them for sharing in this special time with our church family. We pray God's continued blessings upon their chapter and all of their endeavors.

The Blue & White Charter Day Picnic hosted by Tau Phi Zeta Chapter on Saturday, May 30, 2026 was a great success! Check out some of our members’ beautifully decorated tents including our Legacy Lounge Tent, TPZ Off Duty Nurses Tent, & Beach themed Tent.

We would like to extend our appreciation for all that attended and supported our picnic, with special thanks to our wonderful Charter members! Without you, there would be no TPZ. We are looking forward to seeing you all next year!
