Benton Co Farm Bureau women's chair Gloria Bolden Fortner and membership secretary Brandi Reese promoted dairy month at the Benton Co Farmer's Market in Ashland today. Gloria presented a short dairy program and assisted kids with milking Maggie Mae, a simulated cow. Participants were given dairy goodie bags, cow face fans and ice cream treats.

Congratulations to the 2025-2026 Benton County Farm Bureau Kevin L. Simpson Memorial Scholarship.

McKenley Moffitt is the daughter of Clint and Stephanie Moffitt. She is a student at Hickory Flat Attendance Center. McKenley will attend Northeast MS Community College where she plans to pursue a degree in Biology before continuing her education to become a Physician's Assistant. Achievements during her high school career include serving as President of the Senior Beta Club and the Student Council, cheer captain and chairperson of the NEMS Youth Foundation. McKenley was recently recognized as the STAR Student and is the Valedictorian of the Class of 2026.
