❤️ Jacob's Story: Finding His Place at The Riley Farm Rescue
Jacob came to us after his previous owner reached out looking for a safe new home for him. He had been living with two other emus who were picking on him, and it became clear that he needed a different environment where he could feel safe.
When Jacob arrived, we hoped that one day he might be able to live with Johanna, our female emu. But introductions between emus aren't always easy, and we knew we couldn't rush the process.
We spent a long time slowly integrating the two, allowing them to get comfortable with each other at their own pace. It took plenty of patience, careful observation, and time, but it was worth every bit of effort!
Today, Jacob and Johanna live together and get along wonderfully! ❤️ Seeing Jacob happy and comfortable with his new companion has been such a rewarding part of his journey.
Sometimes rescue isn't just about giving an animal a safe place to live. It's about finding the right environment, the right companionship, and giving them the time they need to settle in.
We're so happy Jacob found his place here, and even happier that he and Johanna have each other.
