⛰️ BIG NEWS! Our very own Chris Cole is taking on an epic challenge for a great cause!

We are incredibly proud to share that McMurray Rotary Impact member Chris Cole is stepping up (literally!) for the ShelterBox USA Yosemite 2026 Adventure. He will be trekking through some of North America’s most rugged and breathtaking terrain to raise funds and awareness for disaster relief.

🌟 Happy June, McMurray Rotarians! 🌟

As we head into the final month of our Rotary year, we are wrapping up our Unite for Good theme and gearing up for next year’s theme: Create Lasting Impact. This hits close to home for us—not just because our Impact Club is growing, but because making a lasting difference is exactly what the McMurray Rotary is all about!

🗓️ Wednesday, June 3rd (Tomorrow!): Double Meeting Day!
We have both our regular Club Meeting and our Impact Meeting. Hope to see you at one or both!
**Don't forget: Bring your donation items for the families in the Charleroi area (see details in the attached files/images).

🗓️ Saturday, June 6th @ 9:00 AM: Leadership Day
This is our strategic planning day for the Board of Directors, but any and all members are welcome to come learn how our club works and share their input.
**Please RSVP to her ASAP so she has an accurate headcount for food.

🗓️June 20th: Philanthropy Committee Meeting Deadlines

🇺🇸Honoring the True Meaning of Memorial Day🇺🇸

Members of the McMurray Rotary Club and the McMurray Rotary Impact Club gathered at the Peters Township Memorial Day parade and service to remember and honor our nation’s heroes.

So proud to see our own McMurray Rotary Past President, Bill Kern, serve as the keynote speaker for today’s ceremony. Bill is a retired Navy Commander and Aviator, and his words reminded us all of the profound depth of this day.

Remember: Memorial Day is about so much more than picnics, hot dogs, and sunscreen. It is about honoring the ultimate sacrifices made by brave men and women so that we can enjoy the incredible freedoms we have today.

From our Rotary family to yours, we wish you a meaningful and reflective Memorial Day.

Did you know there’s more than one way to be a Rotarian here in McMurray? We actually have two distinct ways to jump in, connect, and make a difference!

Here is how we roll:

Option 1: Our Traditional Club
This is where the foundation started, and it is fantastic. We meet once a week for lunch on Wednesdays. It’s a great mid-week boost where we host engaging guest speakers, catch up with friends, and learn all about the incredible work Rotary is doing both locally and all over the world.

Option 2: The McMurray Rotary Impact Club
Look, we get it. Life is busy, schedules are packed, and not everyone has the time or bandwidth for a weekly lunchtime commitment. Because we want everyone to be able to give back, we developed the Impact Club.

Here is the deets:

Low time commitment: They meet just once a month.

Flexible schedule: They alternate between a morning coffee hour and an evening happy hour.

Social vibe: It’s casual, high-energy, and completely focused on fun connections and hands-on service projects.

If you’ve been curious about Rotary but worried you couldn't fit a weekly meeting into your schedule, the Impact Club is the perfect place for you to start. You get all the heart, all the service, and a schedule that actually works for you.

Join us at Helltown Brewing in Houston, PA, for our June meet-up. We will be ordering food in as they don’t serve food on the premises. Helltown has both indoor and outdoor areas; hopefully, the weather works out. Also, there’s lots of pinball inside if you’d like to partake- bring your quarters!

Ready to roll up your sleeves? 🛠️

On May 16th, the McMurray Rotary Club and the McMurray Rotary IMPACT Club are joining the District-wide Epic Day of Service, and we have two incredible ways our members are giving back:

Project 1: Brunch with Washington City Mission 🍳
We are thrilled to announce that all volunteer spots for this project are officially FILLED! We are so grateful for our club's incredible participation and heart for service.

Project 2: Community Cleanup 🧹
We’re heading to local Park and Ride lots in the Canonsburg area to spruce things up! We’re looking for a few more hands to help make our community shine.

Looking for help to kickstart your next chapter? The McMurray Rotary Club is awarding three scholarships to deserving Peters Township High School seniors! Whether you’re headed to a university, trade school, or community college, there is an award for you:

🎓Academic Excellence Award (4-year University)
🎓Vocational Success Award (Trade or Technical School)
🎓Bridge to Success Award (Community College)

Gather your resume, transcript, and a letter explaining why you’re the perfect candidate.
