If you haven’t experienced a Wildfire Magazine writing ✍️ workshop you are missing a wonderful tool to process and share this crazy thing called cancer.
Let's discover your unique cancer stories together.
What remains when the facts of your cancer experience begin to fade? It might be hard to imagine now, but as time moves you further from diagnosis day, the details soften—and what stays are the feelings, emotions, images, and memories.
Your cancer story is not your diagnosis or even the specifics of your treatment. When you look deeper at what still lives in your body and mind, that’s where your most meaningful stories begin. I want to help you explore those stories using the healing power of writing.
Enter our Spring Sparks Writing Workshop series, beginning in April.
Spring represents new beginnings, growth, and renewal. It's a time when nature reawakens after winter and many of us feel more hopeful and ready to start fresh.
We'll also have lots of classic Wildfire writing prompts, like:
🧡 Write about something just beginning to emerge.
🧡 Tell me about second chances...
🧡 One thing that's true for me today…

Sparks is a prompt-style writing workshop for those diagnosed with breast cancer on the younger side. It's about making time and space to use writing to heal. It uses writing prompts to make sense of your experiences and draw out your stories.
Each series runs for 5-weeks on Thursday evenings. We meet weekly for 2.5 hours, writing through 4-6 timed writing prompts, with space for optional sharing.
Space is limited—reserve your spot today! Sign up at wildfirecommunity.org/sparks.
