We’re thrilled to give a shoutout to Emily Murdach, an AIT Level 3 Certified Choreographer who has completed and passed certification in all three of AIT’s educational programs: Master Choreography Techniques, 6 Ways of the Spine™, and the AIT Professional Mentorship Program.

These clips by On Ice Perspectives ❄️🎥 trace a little of Emily’s journey:

🤖 ALGORITHM DADDY (demo)
What happens when our relationship with technology starts to feel a little too close?

Created during the Weekend Choreography Workshop by Gabriella Papadakis at the 2026 American Contemporary Skating Festival in Boston, Algorithm Daddy (demo) grew out of a culmination of fears surrounding the rise of artificial intelligence, our addiction to new technologies, and the existential weight of it all.

Choreographer: Gabriella Papadakis
Videographer: Jordan Cowan - On Ice Perspectives
Performers: Taryn Brandt, Gillian Robidas, Amber Hokama, Alina Ponomarova, Jamie Chandler Hawley, Elise Little & Sena Spinella
Music: Gabriella Papadakis & Melkior (Arthur Morel Van Hyfte)

Congratulations to our Tuesday class graduates of the Spring 2026 semester (January-June 2026) of Master Choreography Techniques (MCT)!

Swipe to learn more about these graduates!

Master Choreography Techniques (MCT) is an advanced online certification and training program for both seasoned skating coaches and those looking to specialize in a career as an ice choreographer. Created by AIT Founder Jodi Porter, the class is a mixture of choreographic creation, video lecture, reading and monthly discussion meetings. AIT Executive Directors Garrett Kling & Kate McSwain lead the semester class.

At the end of the semester, each student creates a final capstone project incorporating the choreographic elements of time, space, energy and form.
