We help homeless pets find their furever homes. Serving the South Bay of Los Angeles County, CA. We are an all breed rescue.

Noah's Bark is committed to finding permanent and happy homes for the unwanted and homeless pets in our community. Noah's Bark is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit pet rescue organization based in the Los Angeles South Bay area. Some dogs come to us as strays, but the majority come from LA area shelters, all of which are HIGH KILL shelters. We often rescue the most broken and pitiful dogs from

these shelters, the ones that would have little to no chance of being adopted by the public. We give these dogs a second chance at a new and loving life. Noah’s Bark was founded in 1997 by Lila Hemmingway. It is now run by Shelly Gomez, a dedicated animal advocate. Shelly was there in the beginning with Lila when the organization was first founded. We rescue and rehome approximately 300 pets each year. Our organization does not have a shelter where all of the rescues are centrally housed. Dedicated volunteers provide foster homes while our rescues await their forever homes. Meet Scooter! He’s a 5 month old morkie (Yorkie/ Maltese mix). He was just neutered, hence the cone of shame! He is 7 pounds and really isn’t going to get much bigger. We are guessing he will be 8-9 pounds as an adult.
This little guy loves other dogs and is fine with cats and he absolutely adores all humans (big and small). He’s very much a puppy and is still doing a lot of puppy nibbling and chewing (on things and on fingers sometimes). We are working on crate training and housebreaking. Scooter is a great little puppy that will be an amazing adult dog with just a little bit of training.
He will be available for adoption the 1st week of September! We are accepting applications now!

Saydee says Good Morning NB fam! She is up and at ‘em and ready for the dog park this morning before it gets too hot! She’s a happy girl…that smiles says it all! If you’re looking for a laid back companion then Saydee is your girl. She is a great little dog that is past all of the puppy nonsense. She’s always ready when you are, whether it’s the dog park, a nice walk or hike or just lounging and watching some tv.
She’s ready and available for adoption now!
Btw, she’s only 20 pounds and can hang with the best of them!

When you’re such a popular girl that your dog park friends gift you a new harness!! Look at what a little model Saydee is! She is rockin’ the purple and looking amazing!!
Saydee is 8 years young and is a 20 pound chug (chihuahua/pug mix). She’s a great girl and loves going to the dog park. She’s a great road dog and is a chill girl. She’s available for adoption now!!

Muppet was adopted by a previous adopter! This is her 4th NB dog! Muppet’s new brother, Truman, was also adopted from us about 3 years ago. As you can see they are the best of friends already! We are so happy for Muppet and her new mom and brother!! Happy Tails sweet girl!!

FYI - Muppet has a pending adoption

So this is Muppet! She is a 5 month old Aussiedoodle (we think) and she has been with NB for about 6 weeks or so already. She is a super amazing girl. We have provided all of her basic medical needs (vaccines, deworming, spay/neuter, etc) and now shes ready for her new adventure that awaits! Stay tuned for more info!

Saydee is the best road dog you will ever find! She’s such a good girl and she never tries to be a backseat driver, she loves whatever music you’re in the mood for and she always wears her seatbelt! She is the perfect passenger princess!!
Saydee is available for adoption now and is ready for whatever roadtrip you have in store this summer!

Noelle had a spa day!! She enjoyed her haircut (it’s sooo hot) and her bath. We think keeping her hair trimmed makes her look like an eternal puppy!
She’s such a sweet girl and if you’re looking for a couch potato best friend then look no further. Noelle is your girl…oh and she’s a foodie. The way to her heart is through her stomach! This is helpful information when looking for a best friend!
