Noah's Bark Dog Rescue We help homeless pets find their furever homes. Serving the South Bay of Los Angeles County, CA. We are an all breed rescue.

Noah's Bark is committed to finding permanent and happy homes for the unwanted and homeless pets in our community. Noah's Bark is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit pet rescue organization based in the Los Angeles South Bay area. Some dogs come to us as strays, but the majority come from LA area shelters, all of which are HIGH KILL shelters. We often rescue the most broken and pitiful dogs from

these shelters, the ones that would have little to no chance of being adopted by the public. We give these dogs a second chance at a new and loving life. Noah’s Bark was founded in 1997 by Lila Hemmingway. It is now run by Shelly Gomez, a dedicated animal advocate. Shelly was there in the beginning with Lila when the organization was first founded. We rescue and rehome approximately 300 pets each year. Our organization does not have a shelter where all of the rescues are centrally housed. Dedicated volunteers provide foster homes while our rescues await their forever homes. Tater Tot was a very "big" boy on his trip to the vet a couple of days ago. He tried to be brave, but it wasn't easy. He weighed in at 5.5 lbs and got the all-clear for his neuter. Tater will be available for adoption in mid-July.

Play all morning…sleep all afternoon!

Saydee is a great little dog! She would be perfect for a person looking for a lowkey, chill dog that doesn’t need a ton of exercise but likes to go for walks and hang out. She’s content at the park or on the couch! She’s 8 years young and 20 pounds and and is beyond all of that puppy nonsense. Maybe she’s exactly what you’re looking for!

Guess what?!! Trixie has been adopted!! We are so excited for this sweet girl and all of the new adventures she will be going on! She’s going to be a hiking, camping, dog beach kind of girl!! And she’s going to love it! We are so grateful to her new family and all the love they have to give to little Trixie!

We are so grateful for the Marion and Richard Graham Foundation! We are honored that we were recipients of this grant this past year! We have wonderful news!! Chad was adopted! But what’s even better news, he was adopted by my sister!! So he’s staying in the NB family forever!!! I’m so happy for Chad (now Tucker) and our family because I get to see this little guy all of the time! He holds a special place in my heart. Meet Tater Tot! He’s our newest little friend to join the NB pack! We think Tater is a pomchi mix (Pomeranian/Chihuahua). He may be little but he has a big personality and lots of energy. Tater is about 5 months young and about 5lbs. He loves chasing and wrestling with his foster sister. Tater Tot will be available for adoption in just a few short weeks. Noelle is just stopping in to say hi! This sweet girl is still available for adoption and it’s just crazy to us that she hasn’t been adopted yet! She’s been with NB since December 2025! That’s nearly 6 months. We just don’t get it! She’s a great little dog! She’s chill, she’s affectionate, she’s housebroken, she’s fine with other dogs, she’s adorable! What more can you ask for?
Hopefully, some day soon, sweet Noelle will find her forever home!
