We’re growing and we’re calling in purpose-driven leaders to grow with us.

Children Striving Together is officially opening applications for our Advisory Board for the 2026–2027 Fiscal Year, and this is your opportunity to be part of something impactful.

Advisory Board Members are a key part of our ecosystem. While they don’t carry the same governance responsibilities as our Board of Directors, their voice, expertise, and network are just as powerful. This role is about influence, insight, and impact, helping us strengthen our programs, expand our reach, and better serve our youth and families.

We are looking for individuals who can support in:
✨ Programming
✨ Events & Activations
✨ Community Outreach
✨ Fundraising & Finance
✨ Donor Retention

This is a 1-year commitment (July 2026 – June 2027) with quarterly meetings, opportunities to support key initiatives, and the chance to pour into a mission that truly matters. There is no required financial contribution, but a heart to serve and support is everything.

Today is Giving Tuesday, the biggest giving day of the year, and we are inviting our community to come together to help us pour into the next generation.For nearly 13 years, Children Striving Together has provided mentorship, enrichment workshops, tutoring, and life-skill programming that empower youth to grow, discover their potential, and thrive.

This year, our Giving Tuesday campaign will support: 8-Week Mentorship Cohorts (Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, Mental Health, Creative Arts), Life Skills Workshops (College and Career Readiness, Leadership, Self-Esteem, Hygiene, and Community Service), Tutoring and Homework Support, Quarterly Field Trips, Community Events, Program Supplies, Facilitators, and Meals.

Every donation, whether $10, $25, $50, $100, or more, directly impacts a child. Your support keeps our programs free or low-cost for underserved youth in Compton, the Inland Empire, and surrounding communities.

COHORT 16 IS HERE! ✨

The Entrepreneurship Lab is back and we’re giving K–12 students the tools to dream, build, and launch their very own business or invention over 8 weeks!

Here’s what students will gain:
✅ Create their own business or invention
✅ Learn branding, marketing & budgeting
✅ Work directly with business leaders
✅ Pitch their ideas in a final competition

🏆 Grand Prizes:

Parents of my Teens and Young Adults!

Children Striving Together is looking for 5-7 amazing teenagers to help us with a little community outreach on Monday, August 11th. We’ll be passing out flyers and spreading the word about our upcoming programs and events! 🙌🏽

If your teen is outgoing, responsible, and would like to earn some community service hours (or just support a great cause), we’d love to have them join us!
