Johnny Paycheck's career was marked by as much turmoil as triumph, as he struggled with substance abuse, alcohol abuse, spent time in prison, and was involved in multiple legal issues including a conviction for assault and a high-profile misconduct case. Despite these setbacks, Paycheck's legacy endures through his raw and uncompromising music.
On the next Rockin' Randall Classic Country Call-In Request Show, Johnny Paycheck will be in the spotlight, as our featured artist of the day. I hope you can join me Saturday morning from 6-9 for Classic Country by request and the very best of
Johnny Paycheck on 91.7 WHCP-Radio Chesapeake.

Some of the most important stories don’t make national headlines - but they matter deeply here at home.

Today is the last day of our Spring Membership Drive, and we're celebrating the role this station plays in keeping local voices and experiences alive across the Chesapeake region. While larger media outlets often overlook the Mid-Shore, we make space for the people, histories, and moments that define our community.

Our programs are built on exactly that idea - sharing real stories from real people right here, stories that might otherwise go unheard but deserve to be remembered and told.

This kind of storytelling only happens because of listeners like you.

Help preserve local voices, uplift your neighbors, and ensure these stories continue to be shared for generations to come.
