MCR new building updates! ✨👷‍♀️🔨

The painting continues! 🎨
We decided to paint the “lobby” area our logo yellow and I have to say, I didn’t like it at first but it’s growing on me! We do plan on having someone come paint our logo on the wall to really add that extra MCR touch! 💛

The cheetah room… because why not. We are absolutely OBSESSED. ✨🐆

Shoutout to Paige’s dad for building our wall! This will give us an extra room to utilize!

Ryan has been working on sanding all the old carpet glue off the floors. We have found some rooms to have VCT flooring that we plan on using, which is a huge win for us budget wise! Our plan for the concrete floors is to use concrete floor paint like you would see in a basement!

We are currently waiting to hear back about our quote for the washer/dryer hookup and installation of our stainless steel washtub!

We are on the books with BK Moore Property Solutions to have our gutters replaced!

We were told upon purchasing the property that our HVAC system was in working order. It was even looked at before we purchased. Unfortunately we quickly noticed it was not cooling properly.
Shoutout to Simpson Salute Heating & Air for coming out so quickly, finding the leak and getting it repaired for us!

We are SO eager to get moved in but please be patient with us! We are juggling so many task all at once.
‼️MCR is currently on an intake hold.‼️
It upsets us to do this as we know there are so many felines that need our help but one of the biggest things we have learned in rescue is boundaries and knowing your limits.

Mama Charlie and her littles! Crush, Cleo, Clover, Clyde and Cullen! ✨🐱 This little family entered the rescue a few weeks ago.

We were able to assist with Charlie’s vet care, providing vaccines and most importantly her spay to prevent future kittens, at no cost to her owner.
With your continued support, we hope to provide more low cost spay and neuter assistance in our community, as we know this is something very needed in our area. Programs like this help keep beloved cats in the homes that love them most, preventing future unwanted litters from entering the already overcrowded shelter systems and reduces the need for euthanasia.

Charlies littles will be available for adoption once they have been vetted and meet weight requirements to be spayed & neutered!

➡️ If you find a pregnant cat, PLEASE prioritize her spay. There are too many unwanted kittens to allow her to give birth. There ARE low cost options available to you.

An absolute steal for MCR!!! 🥺💛

We stumbled upon an auction site with 12 stainless steel cages up for bid and I was able to win the auction for an amazing price!

If you’ve ever priced these cages brand new, you know just how expensive they can be. For a rescue like MCR, which is 100% supported by community donations and fundraising, finding quality equipment at a fraction of the cost is a HUGE win.
MCR is not County/State/Government funded.

Stainless steel cages are an incredible investment for a rescue. They’re durable, rust-resistant, non-porous, and incredibly easy to sanitize—making them ideal for maintaining a clean, safe environment for the cats in our care. They can also withstand the heavy daily use and disinfecting that comes with rescue life. 🧼

12 cages = More space, better sanitation, and more cats we can help. 🥹💛 Thank YOU for making things like this possible for this little rescue! 😭😭😭
