GOODBYE PABLITO 🩵🩵
We received the heartbreaking call from Pablito’s adopter, Lisa Schmitt, that he passed away peacefully during the night in her bed, while everyone slept.

Pablito came to DaisyLu Ranch in 2024 after we rescued him from the shelter. He went on to become a little TV sensation on KCAL News—and the ladies at the station absolutely fell in love with him. How could they not?

But his greatest blessing was finding his forever home with Lisa. Lisa loved him completely, and was committed to caring for him through his senior years. We are so grateful to her for giving him the love, comfort and security every senior dog deserves.

Pablito was only 12 years old. We thought he had more time. His ending came far too soon, but there is comfort in knowing that he passed peacefully, in his home, surrounded by the life and love that had become his.

Thank you, Lisa, for loving our boy so fully.

Run free, sweet Pablito. 🌈🐾

You were loved, and you will be deeply missed.

NALA UPDATE 🩷

When 13-year-old Nala arrived at DaisyLu Ranch just a week ago, she looked dejected. She had been surrendered by her owner to the shelter, most likely because of her serious skin issues and several tumors. She looked as if she had given up.

Nala is also recovering from a bug she picked up at the shelter, but little by little, she is starting to feel better. Yesterday she was groomed and got a much-needed haircut, and underneath all that neglected fur is the sweetest little girl.

A few days ago, we saw sadness and defeat. Today, we see a little spark. We see hope.

Nala is learning that she is safe, she is cared for, and she matters. At 13 years old, she deserves to know nothing but love and comfort from here on out.

Welcome to your new life, Nala.

FOREVER HOME FOR ROSA 🩷🩷

Rosa came to DaisyLu Ranch after she was found wandering as a stray. A kind person took her in and tried to find her family, but despite being microchipped, her chip had never been registered ans no one came looking for her.

Rosa is estimated to be 7–8 years old, weighs 20 pounds and has been an absolute dream since the day she arrived. She is sweet, affectionate, easygoing, active, and fit right into ranch life like she had always belonged here.

She is healthy and doing wonderfully. Rose is scheduled for a dental next week, but otherwise she is ready to start the next chapter of her life.

Some lucky person is going to get a truly wonderful girl. Could Rose be your forever girl?

WELCOME LUCERO 🩷🩷

Sweet Lucero came to us after her owner sadly passed away. Her owner was a kind-hearted woman who opened her home to stray dogs who needed somewhere safe to land.

After her passing, the dogs she had cared for suddenly needed homes of their own. Lucero was the only senior in the group, so when we heard about her, we knew she belonged at DaisyLu Ranch.

We are honored to continue the kindness her previous owner showed her and make sure Lucero is loved and cared for through her senior years.

DaisyLu Ranch is a nonprofit senior dog rescue, hospice, and sanctuary dedicated to giving senior a safe, loving place to call home. Many come to us from shelters with medical needs or simply because they’ve grown old and have nowhere else to go. We provide the veterinary care, comfort, and love they deserve for whatever time they have left.
