URGENT: THREE SENIOR MALTESE NEED A FOSTER HOME TO SAVE THEIR LIVES / Please share

Our hearts are breaking.

We were contacted by a woman whose brother recently passed away, leaving behind his three beloved Maltese. They are approximately 14 years old, bonded, and according to the family, still healthy and enjoying life.

The woman who reached out to us is moving to Peru on July 1 and desperately wants to save these dogs. Unfortunately, she says that another family member plans to have them euthanized on June 26.

These dogs have already lost their owner. They are grieving, confused, and facing the loss of everything they have ever known. They deserve compassion, comfort, and a chance to live out their remaining years surrounded by love.

We are urgently searching for a foster home willing to open their heart and home to these seniors and help save their lives. DaisyLu Ranch is already beyond capacity, but we cannot ignore their plight.

Hi everyone! It's me, Chickpea.

I may be tiny, but I have a very important job here at DaisyLu Ranch: looking adorable and making people smile.

I'm settling in nicely, enjoying my comfy beds, good meals, and all the love that comes with being a DaisyLu Ranch dog. My favorite activities include napping, snuggling into soft blankets, and reminding everyone that the smallest dogs often have the biggest personalities.

17-year-old Lisa is safe.

DaisyLu Ranch rescued this tiny 5-pound senior from the West Los Angeles shelter. Don’t let her size fool you—Lisa is full of spice, personality, and determination.

We took her directly to our veterinarian for an exam. The good news is that while she does have a significant heart murmur, she is not in heart failure. We’ll continue to monitor her closely and make sure she gets the care she needs.

After 17 years, Lisa deserves comfort, love, and a soft place to rest. Welcome to DaisyLu Ranch, little lady. We’re so glad you’re here.

Our hearts are broken as we share that our beloved Bo passed away peacefully in his sleep this morning.

Bo was one of the ranch favorites—a gentle soul who brought comfort and joy to everyone he met. Rescued from East Valley Animal Services CA in 2024 at 12 years old, Bo spent his final chapter surrounded by love, friendship, good food and the safety he deserved. He touched countless hearts during his time with us, and we are grateful for every moment we shared with him.

Though the ranch feels a little quieter today, we take comfort in knowing that he left this world peacefully and knowing he was loved.

Run free, sweet Bo. You were deeply loved, and your pawprints will remain on our hearts forever. ❤️

Meet Steve 🩵🩵

Steve is officially looking for his forever home and is ready to leave DaisyLu Ranch for the next chapter of his life.

Steve was rescued from a neglect situation, but you would never know it. Despite what he has been through, he is sweet, loving, trusting, and has shown no signs of his difficult past. He simply enjoys being around people and soaking up affection.

He has been examined by our veterinarian, and his bloodwork looks great. Steve is approximately 10–12 years old and weighs just 10 pounds. He is quiet, gentle and gets along wonderfully with everyone he meets.

This little gentleman has overcome a lot and deserves a loving home where he can spend his golden years being cherished. If you’re looking for an easy, loyal companion, Steve may be the perfect match.

We were at the vet’s office yesterday with Cozi. A couple of days ago he started having bloody diarrhea and has been waking up in the middle of the night crying, so we wanted to get him checked out right away.

We brought in a stool sample, and our vet is running a senior blood panel to help determine what’s going on. Cozi is also going home with anti-diarrhea medication while we wait for results.

Blind and deaf, 14 year old Cozi was rescued by DaisyLu Ranch from the shelter in West Los Angeles in March this year.

Happy 15th Birthday, Franco! 🎉🐾

We love receiving updates from our DaisyLu Ranch alumni, and this one made us smile.

Franco’s adopter shared that Franco celebrated his 15th birthday last Saturday with his canine friends Manju and Momo. The lucky pups enjoyed puppy patties from In-N-Out and pup cups from Starbucks for dessert. 🥰🍔🍦

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our former rescue dogs thriving, loved, and spoiled in their forever homes. Happy Birthday, Franco!

ADOPTED 🩷🩷

We are thrilled to share that 11-year-old Molly has begun a trial adoption with Lynette!

Molly’s journey started with heartbreak. After her owner passed away, she remained at the shelter for a month on a mandatory hold while staff waited to see if family members would come forward to claim her. Sadly, no one did. During that time, Molly was kept away from the public and never had the chance to be seen by potential adopters.

Thankfully, shelter volunteers reached out to DaisyLu Ranch and asked if we could help. We welcomed Molly into rescue, and now this sweet senior girl has a chance at a new beginning.

Lynette recently lost her beloved dog and wanted to honor that loss by giving another senior dog a second chance. Molly is now settling into a beautiful home filled with love, comfort, and hope for the future.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped Molly along the way—from the shelter volunteers who advocated for her, to Lynette for opening her heart to a senior dog in need.

Welcome Steve 🩵🩵

We have another new DaisyLu Ranch resident. He is a sweet gentleman we’ve named Steve.

Steve was rescued by a kind-hearted person who noticed he was being neglected and stepped in to help. We are so grateful that he found his way to us.

He has been with us for a couple of days now, and we can honestly say he is one of the sweetest dogs imaginable. Steve is quiet, gentle, potty trained, gets along beautifully with everyone, and has settled in as if he has always been here.

Steve is estimated to be between 10–12 years old and weighs just 10 pounds. We took him to our veterinarian for a full checkup and are currently waiting on his bloodwork results.

So far, Steve has charmed everyone he meets, and we believe he is going to make a wonderful companion for a very lucky family.

If you’re looking for a calm, loving senior dog, Steve may be the perfect match. He is ready to find his forever home.
