COOPER STARTS A TRIAL 🩵🩵

Ten-year-old Cooper has started a trial with almost 10-year-old Charlie and her grandma, Christy, who wanted to teach Charlie about the plight of overlooked senior dogs.

They visited DaisyLu Ranch to meet Fuzzy and Buttercup—but Cooper had other plans. He turned on the charm and picked THEM!

Wishing Cooper, Charlie, and Christy a wonderful trial together. Sometimes the dog chooses you 🐾

💔🌈 GOODBYE BROOKLYN 🌈💔

We said goodbye to Brooklyn. She passed away peacefully in her sleep last night.

14 year old Brooklyn came from the West Los Angeles shelter, and we were fortunate to find her a wonderful foster family who gave her exactly the life we wish for every senior dog.

Brooklyn was living the life on a farm, surrounded by love, fresh air, goats and chickens, and plenty of room to enjoy her days. And when she wasn’t enjoying farm life, she was taking frequent trips to the beach with her foster family.

For however much time our seniors have left, this is what we want for them—to feel safe, wanted, spoiled and deeply loved. Brooklyn got that. She didn’t leave this world in a shelter or wondering where she belonged. She fell asleep in a home where she knew she was family.

We are so grateful to Jillian and her family for giving Brooklyn such a beautiful final chapter.

You mattered. You were loved. And you were
home.

🐾 MOLLY UPDATE 🐾

13 year old Molly was surrendered to the shelter because her family was moving and, heartbreakingly, she was scheduled to be euthanized. We couldn’t let that happen, so Molly became part of the DaisyLu family.

Since then, we learned that Molly has Cushing’s disease, and she has been on medication to help manage it. This week we took her back to the vet for testing to see how well her medication is working and whether any adjustments might be needed.

Our vet was also concerned about the possibility of an adrenal tumor, so we had an ultrasound done. We are VERY happy to report that the ultrasound was negative!

We’ll continue monitoring her Cushing’s and making sure she gets exactly what she needs. Molly is such a calm, quiet little sweetheart, and after everything she’s been through, we’re so grateful she’s here with us and getting the care she deserves.

One day at a time, Miss Molly. We’ve got you.

COOPER IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME 🏡

Cooper is a 10-year-old, 10 pound Pomeranian Shih Tzu mix who joined DaisyLu Ranch after his Daddy passed away. After losing the only person and home he knew, this precious little guy deserves a loving family and a forever home of his own.

Cooper is one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet — gentle, quiet, affectionate, and so well-mannered. He’s an easy little guy to love and would make a wonderful companion.

We know there is someone out there who will look at this adorable fluffy face and say, “That’s my boy.”

Please share and help us find Cooper the forever home he deserves.

CINDY HAS BEEN CHOSEN 🩷🩷

15-year-old Cindy has left DaisyLu Ranch for a trial adoption.

Jo Ann was looking for a companion for her senior dog, Licorice. When she met Cindy, she thought this tiny 15 year old sweetheart might be the perfect friend. So Cindy headed off to see if this could be her forever home.

Cindy joined DaisyLu Ranch just a month ago. She was found as a stray with a microchip and taken to the West Los Angeles shelter, but sadly, her owner never came for her. It’s hard to understand how someone could give up such a precious little girl.

Now we’re hoping Licorice and Cindy decide that life is better with each other.

ADOPT BUTTERCUP 🩵🩵

Buttercup is a sweet senior gentleman looking for his forever home.

Buttercup is about 11 years old and 19 pounds. He came to DaisyLu Ranch after his family could no longer keep him, through no fault of his own. He had been well cared for and loved, and it shows.

He is healthy, potty trained, smart and very well behaved. Buttercup loves his people and is affectionate and cuddly, but he also has a nice independent side and is perfectly content relaxing on his own. He still has plenty of pep in his step, enjoys walks, runs and jumps, and loves playing with his toy bones.

Buttercup has lived with other dogs and can do well with canine friends. Most of all, he would love a home where he can be someone’s special little companion and enjoy his senior years surrounded by love.

If you think Buttercup might be the perfect addition to your family, we would love to hear from you.

FUZZY IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME 🏡❤️

Please help us find Fuzzy’s forever family by sharing this post

Fuzzy is a 12-year-old, 15-pound Pug/Brussels Griffon mix who came to DaisyLu Ranch after his owner moved out of the country and could no longer keep him.

We had him fully vetted, including a neuter and dental. Fuzzy is a happy, healthy boy. He is sweet, friendly, easygoing, quiet, and potty trained, and would make a wonderful companion.

At 12 years old, Fuzzy deserves what every senior dog deserves — a home and a person of his very own. He has so much love left to give, and we know his family is out there somewhere.

WELCOME TO DAISYLU RANCH 🩷🩷

Today we welcomed a very special girl to DaisyLu Ranch — Gemma, 18 years old is our oldest resident ever.

Gemma was surrendered due to changes in her family’s life, and at her age, everything new must feel overwhelming and confusing.

Right now she’s a little lost, so we’re giving her exactly what she needs most: gentle care, soft beds, calm voices, and endless love.

Welcome home, sweet Gemma. At DaisyLu Ranch, you’re never too old for a new beginning.

BLESS THE BEASTS AND THE CHILDREN 🩷🩵

We made this short video featuring the current residents of DaisyLu Ranch, and we couldn’t think of a more perfect song.

Each face you see has a story. Some came to us after losing the only home they had ever known. Some were abandoned, surrendered, or found wandering the streets. Many arrived old, frightened, sick, or simply unwanted.

But here, they are family.

At DaisyLu Ranch, these precious seniors are surrounded by love, comfort, good food, soft beds, veterinary care, and friends—both two-legged and four-legged. Whether they stay with us for a few weeks, a few years, or for the rest of their lives, we want them to know one thing:

They matter. They are loved. And they are home.

Our DaisyLu family reaches beyond the Ranch. In addition to our in-house residents, we currently have 17 Senior pups being cared for in foster homes. Those wonderful foster families are just as much a part of DaisyLu Ranch and give our seniors the love and individual attention of a real home.

Bless the beasts… these beautiful old souls who have stolen our hearts.
