Community Cats Charity We teach you about resources that are available to the public to help make the process cost effective.

The Community Cats Charity’s purpose is to help feral, abandoned, and stray cats by shining a light on their plight for survival and teaching solutions that will improve the relationship between communities and the cats that call those communities home. Our specific objectives include:

•Public Education: We educate why there are so many community cats and how everyone can learn to improve the relationship between communities and the cats.

•Spay & Neuter: We loan high quality, humane cat traps at no final cost to you and mentor you through the method of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). This prevents kittens from being born in situations that often include exposure, malnutrition and disease.

•Provide Food: We collect cat food donations that help feed local community cats in need.

It's ! 🌬️❄️🏠🌡️🐱 Join us for a FREE webinar on October 21 to learn the materials, tools, and skills needed to build warm, waterproof shelters to protect feral and stray community cats from harsh winter weather. We'll show you a variety of effective shelter styles from simple to fancy, and we'll discuss strategies for placing shelters for maximum warmth, comfort, and safety.

The presentation will include video demonstrations for building four simple and inexpensive styles of shelter, using very basic equipment and little to no special skills. We'll point out where you can use power tools, but all of these shelters can be made using simple hand tools or kitchen knives and a box cutter. Attendees will receive a downloadable handout with instructions for building the shelters in our demonstration videos.

Expecting a wet winter this year?? Here is an excellent idea for an economical "stay dry" cat feeding station. An additional thought is to raise the bin up a few inches to prevent water from flooding into the entrance as I doubt the lid seal is water tight. I really like the see through option to be able to easily monitor the food and water levels. A quick touch with a flame will melt the cut plastic edges so they don't cause any discomfort to the cat as it enters or exits.
Remember if you feed 'em, fix 'em!!!

Three cheers for our community partner, Rebecca! A mama cat showed up on her property very pregnant with two older kittens. With the help of the Community Cats Charity Rebecca trapped, fixed and adopted out the two kittens. She is currently fostering the mama cat and her EIGHT new kittens. All will be fixed when the time is right. We love it when community helps community cats responsibility.
