We have recieved our final numbers for the drive!
We were able to collect 83,698 lbs of food and $100,127.49!!!
This was our biggest year to date and we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone that donated and volunteered! We would never have been able to accomplish what we did without you.
Each year we set out to try and collect as much money and food as possible, but this year was a much bigger push with everything that has happened this year, prior to the drive. Again, we want to extend our biggest thank you to each and every one of you that helped us reach our goals this year!! No words can describe how happy it makes us feel to see this happen each year. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as well! We will look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

37 years and counting. The food drive is over but donations are still coming in! We want to give a huge shout out to all of the people, businesses, and groups that volunteered and donated this year!! A special thank you to Harrington Pepsi, the volunteer fire departments, 15-90 Search & Rescue, and the Butte School District for helping us put this together. Without any of you, we would not be able to pull of what we set out to do. Words can't describe the warmth that this event brings to our hearts each year. Butte Silver Bow truly is one big family that looks out for one another. There is no other community out there that steps up day after day and helps out one another like we do.
We don't have final numbers yet, but we talked with the Butte Emergency Food Bank this morning and they gave us the numbers they have so far.
We are at $71,500 and around 75,000lbs so far!!!
Speechless is all we can say. We should have final numbers by the end of this week. Thank you again to each and everyone of you that donated or volunteered. Please, if you volunteered and have pictures, feel free to share them!!

Things are empty now, but we are hoping to fill everything up soon! The annual Thompson Family Food Drive is today!!! We are getting things going and ready to head out at 10am, door to door, to collect donations. Please leave any non-perishable food items, toiletries, and monetary donations out by your door or mailbox and mark then clearly as Food drive if possible and volunteers wearing brightly colored vests and uniforms will be by to pick them up!! Again, our goal this year is $85,000 and 100,000lbs of food. There's no way for us to achieve that without our extremely caring community of Butte that continuously shows up year after year to help each other out like we are Family! We look forward to seeing you all soon, starting at 10am!!

Tomorrow is the day! Starting at 10am we will have volunteers going around Butte, Rocker, and Ramsay collection donations for the Butte Emergency Food Bank ! Volunteers will have on brightly colored vests and be filling up vehicles to bring up to the Food Bank. If you would like to donate, please place any non-perishable food items, toiletries, and monetary donations at your door or mailbox for them to pick up. Volunteers will also knock on the door in case you forget or don't feel comfortable leaving the food out. We are aware there are various big events happening tomorrow, so if you will not be around, there are boxes at all the big stores including WalMart, both Safeways, and Three Bears Alaska, as well as various other businesses in town that you can drop donations into. We do have a donate button on our Facebook Profile that is linked to the Food Bank's account. We are so excited for tomorrow and look forward to seeing everyone out and about!! Let's make this our biggest year yet!!

We are only two days away from the drive!!! Our annual Thompson Family Food Drive is Saturday starting at 10am! Our goal this year is to get $85,000 and 100,000 lbs of food. This will make it the biggest year we have ever had, however, our community needs it now more ever as well! We are confident the citizens in butte can help us pull this off! If this was another area, another state, or anywhere other than Butte that may not be the case, but as many of you already know, Butte is like one big family. We could not be anymore excited for this weekend! We have had a few big pushes to help us get toward out goal, with Shawn O'Donnell's American Grill and Irish Pub - Butte, the Butte School District food drive competition, and also Thriftway Super Stops Convenience Stores having donation slips available at all of their stores through the end of November. If you would like to help out, please show up to the Race Track Volunteer Fire Dept. at 9am to 9:30am and we will get you set up or you can go to the Butte Emergency Food Bank at around 11am to help sort food. We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!!

The Butte School District food drive competition is over and we have the winners!! Before we talk about that, we want to say thank you to all of the students and staff that participated. It warms our hearts every year to see the kids get excited about helping out others in our community! It is our next generation that is going to be the driving force of our community, and we believe our community will be in great hands. Overall, all of the public schools were able to collect close to 11,000 pounds of food! They filled 60 baskets for local families and the rest went to the Butte Emergency Food Bank. So please join us in saying thank you to all of the schools for what they have been able to accomplish as well as a big congratulations to the winners this year:
Hillcrest Elementary, Team E at East Middle School, and we had a tie between Mr. McCullough's and Mr. Cooney's classes at Butte High School!

Us at the Thompson Family Food Drive would like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and we hope that you all get the chance to relax and spend time with family. A gentle reminder that our food drive that is door to door will happen next week on December 6th! Any non-perishable foods, toiletries, and monetary donations are accepted. We will be going out and picking up at 10am! Again, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

We are just two weeks away from the Thompson Family Food Drive!!! Things are really starting to get rolling and we can't be anymore excited! This week, all of our boxes should officially be out and you are able to leave food in them for us to pick up in various locations throughout the county including WalMart, both Safeway locations, Three Bears Alaska, and at mailboxes and neiborhood locations such as Beef Trail, Basin Creek, East Ridge, Rocker, Ramsay, and Browns Gulch. There are a few other business locations that have boxes as well so be on the lookout!
We are wrapping up the Butte School District food drive competition and the food from that will be picked up on Wednesday by both Butte High School and the 15-90 Search & Rescue. If you haven't sent any food with your kiddos to help them win, this week is your last chance for that!
In the meantime between now and the drive you can also donate money at any of the Thriftway Super Stops Convenience Stores locations in Butte and fill out their donation slips or you can use the Donate button we have on our facebook profile page! We are looking forward to seeing everyone on December 6th at 10am!!!!

Thank you to all the businesses that helped us pull this off!! Metals Sports Bar & Grill, M&M Bar and Cafe, Homestake Pub, Pita Pit Butte, Taco del Sol Butte, Butte's Ace Hardware, Riley's Meats, Harrington Pepsi, and of course Shawn O'Donnell's American Grill and Irish Pub - Butte!!!! We have contacted everyone that won the raffle prizes, so check your voice-mail and head on up to Shawn O'Donnell's to collect your prize! Thank you again to everyone that showed up and supported the event!
