Patrick Davey took time from his busy fleadh schedule to record with us today and it was enlightening. Aside from his own brilliant playing, he teaches music right here in Belfast and he shared his secrets for learning airs with us today. If you are in Belfast this weekend, you will not want to miss the debut of his Mass for Belfast at the Cathedral, the official Fleadh Mass.
Be sure to subscribe to our series so you are the first to know when Patrick’s episode is released: https://youtube.com/?si=KhSfw0L8RMSfXziA

Newly Released today!
Denis Liddy and Elvie Miller partner for an emotional telling of The Wild Geese

Hello lovers of traditional Irish airs, welcome to The Irish Airs Project. This is your host, Kell Chole. In every episode, we feature a master airs player playing a favorite air or lament.
We found Denis and Elvie at home in Clare, where they shared the musical storytelling of The Wild Geese. As Denis plays on fiddle, Elvie answers on piano. Rather than a duet, it is more a musical conversation, creating beauty and contrast, bringing the story to life.
