"Meet Carrie Mulderink, PhD, Ms. Wheelchair Illinois 2026" is coming up on Monday July 6th from 7:00-8:30 pm at the LaGrange Public Library in the Dierkes Room! Join me for a presentation and discussion on accessible transportation and caregiver emotional abuse. I will also be available to take pictures and autograph some photos! It's going to be a great evening. Event is free of charge. Hope to see you there!

I had a wonderful afternoon speaking at the Runway of Change, an inclusive fashion show and advocacy event in Chicago. Thank you for having me! It was a great experience to present my platform speech, so now I know what to work on for the national Ms. Wheelchair America competition in August. A special shoutout to Ms. Wheelchair Indiana, Azalia Mallory, and Jamaal Johnson for hosting this impactful event!

Tomorrow is the day! I am honored to be speaking at the Runway of Change, an inclusive fashion show and advocacy event, at Columbus Park Refectory from 1 to 6 pm! It is going to be a great afternoon. Hope to see you there!
I am also debuting my platform speech for the Ms. Wheelchair America competition tomorrow on bringing awareness to and criminalizing caregiver emotional abuse on the national level.

It felt refreshing to watch the grand opening of The Obama Presidential Center today, and it inspired me to keep pushing towards my goals and highlighting my platform as Ms. Wheelchair Illinois: Bringing Awareness and Criminalizing Caregiver Emotional Abuse on the National Level. I think the Obama Presidential Center would be an incredible place to speak one day.

I am excited to share that I was interviewed by the Life to the Max Podcast at the Abilities Expo on Sunday. Max began this amazing podcast to highlight the stories about people with disabilities in a humanizing way. I am thankful to have been able to share my story and the great importance of my platform for Ms. Wheelchair America: bringing awareness to and criminalizing caregiver emotional abuse on the national level. I had a great time signing autographs and taking pictures today at the Abilities Expo! It was wonderful to talk with so many advocates, leaders, and stakeholders in the disability community. I also got to meet Little Miss Wheelchair America 2026/27- Dahlia Swanson! Thank you for having me!
