Regenerative medicine is a growing area in sports injury care, often discussed alongside treatments like PRP (platelet-rich plasma). The goal is to support recovery by using biologic materials from the body to help reduce pain and improve function in certain foot and ankle conditions.

It is important to know that regenerative treatments are not the right fit for every injury. The best next step depends on what is actually going on, like the specific tissue involved, the severity, and how long symptoms have been present. A proper assessment matters because the β€œright” plan could be rehab, activity modifications, footwear support, imaging, or a procedure, not always an injection.

If you are dealing with a lingering sports-related foot or ankle issue, connect with an ILAPPS podiatrist to discuss appropriate treatment options: https://heyor.ca/uqduD8

If you are getting numb toes or burning on rides, do these quick checks first:

🚴 Shoe fit: enough room in the toe box, no squeezing as your foot warms up
🚴 Lace pressure: loosen the top of the foot if you get tingling or hot spots
🚴 Foot position: if pressure sits at the forefoot the entire ride, your setup may need an adjustment

If symptoms repeat, do not push through it. A small issue can become a season-long irritation.

If numbness or burning keeps showing up on rides, connect with an ILAPPS podiatrist to identify the cause and protect your feet this season: https://heyor.ca/uqduD8
