Hey it's Angie ---I’ve struggled with whether or not to make this post, but I know the power of prayer, and right now I need all the prayers I can get. 🙏❤️
Thursday, I had an accident and fell, breaking my wrist and a vertebrae in my back. I had to go to the hospital, where they had to set my wrist, and I will most likely have to have surgery. I’m in a lot of pain, and honestly, I’m scared and overwhelmed by everything that has happened.
As many of you know, I just lost my brother. He passed away only days ago, and I’m still trying to wrap my heart and mind around the fact that he is gone. I’m still grieving. I still have moments where I can’t believe I won’t hear his voice, see his face, or be able to talk to him again. I loved my brother all of his life, and now I have to learn how to live with missing him for the rest of mine.
I had barely begun trying to process his funeral and his passing when this accident happened. My heart was already broken, and now my body is broken too. Some moments I feel like I just don’t know how much more I can take. But then I remind myself that I don’t have to carry all of this by myself.
God has surrounded me with so much love.
My husband has been absolutely wonderful. ❤️ He has been taking care of me, helping me with things I can’t do for myself, and loving me through the pain and frustration. I am so thankful for him.
All of my children have been coming by, checking on me, making sure I’m okay, and reminding me that I’m loved. ❤️ My friends and family have also reached out, called, prayed, checked on me, and offered their love and support. I honestly cannot put into words what that means to me right now.
Through all of this, I’m keeping my eyes on Jesus. I don’t understand why these things have happened so close together, and I don’t have all the answers. But I know God is still good. I know He is still with me in this valley. And when I don’t have the strength to take another step, I know He will carry me.
So today, I’m asking you all to please pray for me. 🙏
Pray for my wrist and my back to heal. Pray that if I have to have surgery, that everything goes well. Pray for my doctors and everyone taking care of me.
And please, please pray for my heart as I continue to grieve my brother. 💔🙏 I know grief doesn’t have a timetable, and I know I’m going to have good days and bad days. I’m just asking God to give me the strength to make it through each one.
I’ve been through a lot lately, and I’m tired. I’m hurting physically, and I’m hurting emotionally. But I am still here. I am still praying. I am still believing. And I am still holding on to Jesus.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
Thank you to every person who has prayed for me, called, messaged, visited, checked on me, helped my family, or simply thought about me. I may not be able to respond to everyone right now, but please know that I see your love, and I am so grateful.
Please keep me and my family in your prayers. ❤️🙏
I know there is power in prayer, and I’m trusting God to carry me through this storm, just like He has carried me through every storm before.
One day. One prayer. One breath at a time. 🙏❤️
