HELP SENIOR POM LOVERS!!
Meet Senior David... proof that getting older just means you yell louder. 📢😂
David is an 8-year-old neutered Pomeranian with the confidence of a 20-pound dog trapped in a fluffy 10-pound body. He's loud, spunky, ridiculously sweet, and gets along with people and other pets. (Kids? We haven't had the pleasure of seeing him critique them yet.)
This little gentleman was dumped at the shelter because apparently someone forgot that dogs don't expire at 8 years old. Their loss. Our gain.
Now for David's "maintenance package":
❤️ Grade 2 heart murmur (yes, he'll need heart medication, but no, it's not the end of the world). I've been down this road before—Uno had a grade 3 murmur and happily bossed everyone around for another 5 years.
🎈 He's sporting a lipoma on his side. Think of it as a bonus fluff pocket. You can remove it if you're comfortable with anesthesia.
🦷 His teeth? Well... let's just say he's not winning "Best Smile" anytime soon. They're rough, but whether to do a dental is something to discuss with your vet.
David also has a touch of separation anxiety. Can you blame him? After being abandoned, he'd really prefer someone who works from home—or at least someone who doesn't think "I'll be back in 12 hours" is a love language.
This may be a hospice adoption. That simply means David gets to spend however much time he has left being loved, spoiled, and reminded every single day that he'll never be thrown away again. I won't let him bounce from home to home like a pest control sales person on an E-scooter! 🤷🏻♀️
We're completely maxed out and already spent $400 getting this little guy the care he needed. His foster is absolutely smitten with him, but unfortunately travels too much for work to keep him.
So here's my big ask...
If you've got a soft spot for crusty little old men with big personalities, selective hearing (unless food is involved), and enough love to fill your entire house, David is your guy.
He doesn't need perfection. He just needs his person.
I promise... the love you get from a grateful senior dog is worth every bark, every pill, and every gray whisker. ❤️
Please message me if you'd like to give David the retirement he deserves!
