In case you missed it, SAMHSA released results from the 2025 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), and one message is clear: recovery is common, not rare.
- 22+ million adults say they’re in recovery or recovered from a substance use problem, and about 73% of those who’ve experienced a substance use problem report being recovered or in recovery.
- 44.1 million adults report being in recovery or recovered from a mental health condition (about 70% of those who’ve experienced a mental health problem).
- At the same time, the need is still huge: 47.2 million people needed substance use treatment in 2025, but only 16% received it.
Recovery happens every day, and expanding access to treatment and support services is how we help more people get there. If you need support or want to suppor our efforts, visit https://flagleroars.org/
