Our 5th grade Carpenter Hill Elementary School families have been hard at work getting ready to celebrate our almost 6th graders! It is a tradition that the 5th graders have looked forward to since the beginning of their time at CHES, and tomorrow is the day....THE 5TH GRADE PICNIC!

While the weather forecast is looking grim, we are hopeful that we will have a rain-free window tomorrow morning. If there is weather prohibiting our outside activities, we have a back up plan in place. Our inflatable will be brought inside to enjoy as a dry slide and our lunch and other activities will take place in the cafeteria.

As long as there is no severe weather or lightning, we will continue as planned outside! Water slide, photo booth, snow cones, and pizza! Watch out, our teachers will be armed! Make sure your 5th grader brings their swimsuit and a towel.

A huge thank you to all the families and friends who have contributed, volunteered, and helped plan! It's going to be EPIC!💛💛💛💛

We would like to congratulate our three Carpenter Hill Elementary School alumni who were recently awarded scholarships in support of their upcoming collegiate journeys! These Moe & Gene Johnson High School seniors submitted incredible applications to our scholarship committee. It is clear that their hard work has paid off in achieving their dreams! We are excited to see them continue to shoot for the stars! Way to go, Luke, Marley, and Holden!

A special thank you to our CHES PTA Grants and Scholarships Chair, Monica Dowd, for overseeing this important and special program.

Luke Glynn - I will be attending the University of Arkansas, where I plan to major in Finance. I’m eager to build on my existing business experience and further develop the skills needed for a successful career in the financial industry.

Marley Dionne - I have been accepted to Texas A&M University's School of Animal Science in the Fall. My goal is to complete my education with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and to build a career in wildlife management and conservation both at home and abroad.

Holden Castillo - I will be part of the Mays Business Honors Program at Texas A&M University in hopes of pursuing my CPA license.

We are so proud of you all! Keep up the great work!

Hello C**t families!

We have just ONE more birthday popcorn lunch left and we NEED your help! We will be celebrating our Carpenter Hill Elementary School colts with a birthday in May or June with fresh popped popcorn on stage for lunch. They get to invite a friend to join them and all students really look forward to their moment every year.

What a special week celebrating our beloved Carpenter Hill Elementary School teachers and staff!! Honestly, we could celebrate them forever!🩵💙🩵

It was a totally rad 90’s theme and it did not disappoint!
🍬Monday had a nostalgic candy bar set up in the lounge! Thank you, Michelle Schwartz for setting that up!
🍓Tuesday’s Yogurt Bar was a “Parfait” way to celebrate our sweet teachers! Thank you to our parents for the generous donations!
🥪Wednesday was saved by the (lunch) bell! A delicious lunch sponsored by our generous community partner, Wired Orthodontics, was enjoyed by all!
☕️ Thursday, as the CHES PTA pumped up the jam, we served breakfast tacos and coffee to get our amazing teachers going!

We wrapped up our final PTA meeting of the 2025-2026 school year!

We voted in our new CHES PTA Officers for the 2026-2027 year, as well as presented next year’s budget. We also created and signed appreciation cards for all of our CHES bus drivers!🚌💙

We said goodbye to a few board members who will be moving on to their next chapters; current President, Lacy Kline, longtime Watch Dog Dad and volunteer extraordinaire, Turtle Young, and current Communications Chair, Megan Huddleston. We are so grateful for their service and dedication to our members, CHES faculty, community, and amazing children! Our school was better because of them!
