🔢✨ What's Your Math Personality?

C**t families, get ready for a FREE night of math, creativity, and family fun!

Join us for Family Math Night at Carpenter Hill Elementary!

Your child will explore four hands-on math challenges, build and create, and discover their very own Math Personality!

Are they The Geometric? The Infinite? The Positive? There's only one way to find out! 🌟

❤️ No grades. No tests. Just learning, laughter, and fun together!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Grades K–5 and their families

Parents, you're part of the fun, too! Plan to stay and explore alongside your child.

Does your child have a great idea for their class or our campus? Student-Led Grant Applications (see comments for link to app.) are now open! This is a great opportunity for our C**T students to put their leadership skills into practice. Students apply for a PTA-funded grant for something they think is important for their classroom or our campus. Categories include Campus beautification ~ Technology ~ Arts/Music ~ Science ~ Math ~ STEM ~ PE ~ Library ~ Academic ~ Playground
Guidelines:
✅ Any grant written by an individual student will need their teacher’s approval before submission, and Mrs. Bordeau's and/or Mrs. Brown’s approval if it will benefit the entire school.
✅ Items requested must be available for purchase from Amazon Prime.
✅All applications are due to Kristyn Marek by Wednesday, November 4th.

Congrats to our September Carpenter Hill Elementary School C**t Champions! Each month, teachers look for behaviors that exemplify a Leader in Me Habit, and one student from each class is recognized as a C**t Champion for that month's habit. Our September C**t Champions are recognized for the first Leader in Me habit: Be Proactive. These students chose to approach every day with a positive attitude and did the right thing even when no one was looking! There are six more habits throughout the year, and we look forward to recognizing students working hard to be great leaders at Carpenter Hill!

🎉 We had a fantastic first Carpenter Hill Elementary School PTA Meeting with over 40 people in attendance and record t-shirt sales! 👕Thanks to all who joined, to our amazing board for organizing, and to Tony C's Pizza and B**r Garden for donating delicious pizza!

✅🧾We approved financial reports, including last school year’s financial reconciliation, and heard a few committee updates, including a 📆 SAVE THE DATE for C**t Carnival - March 6, 2027! Thanks to new board member Kimberly Johnson for stepping up as C**t Carnival Chair! 🎉 We are in Good Standing with Texas PTA and 308 members strong!

Principal Bordeau updated us on upcoming events like Apex Run, Math Night, and talked about the Student Lighthouse team. She also announced that several teachers were awarded grants from the Hays Education Foundation for continuing education.

Ready to get involved? Volunteers are needed for our C.H.I.L.D. Read program, Fall Family Movie Night on Nov 6, and the Grants & Scholarships Committee. (Please see links in the comments below.)

🍫🍬🍭 Please join us for our second annual DMS PTA Mustang Mash: Haunted House & Trunk or Treat Community Event on October 16th, 2026 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

🏚️👻 This is a FREE event with candy, games, concessions, vendors, and more! (Visit the Haunted House with a $5 entry fee, recommended for ages 10+.)
