This video is another morning tired voice video. You may need to turn the volume up a bit more today.

Biggest take away- FEMA is accepting applications until October 3. Get those applications in over the next month. We want to see every flood affected household receiving help.

There is a post pinned at the top of our page that has 7 pathways to seek financial assistance if you've been affected by the July 21-22 flood.

Do you have a restaurant that could provide food for between 50 and 75 people with relative ease? Do you love giving back to your community via food?

AMAC is seeking a donated meal for our annual meeting taking place on September 26th at First Presbyterian Church at 4pm!
If your business is able to volunteer for this, please comment on this post or email us at [email protected]

If you’d like to get involved in our organization, we urge you to come to our annual meeting, where we sit down with a community free meal, determine our focus and vision for the upcoming year, and reach agreement on our volunteer officers and board for the upcoming year via consensus. It’s a great opportunity to get to know us, and help shape the future of mutual aid for our community!

Day 41 of flood relief...

looks like taking another moment over today and tomorrow to call down our list and touch base with ~30 households that we are working alongside in more direct, in-home ways.

Have we helped you in some capacity at your home with flood relief?

Be prepared to be contacted again so we can check in. We care about your well-being.

One Unique Recovery House is at Upshur Recovery Center today for Overdose Awareness Day!

Check out the meals we just picked up for some of our households in flood recovery.

Pork BBQ sandwich
Oliverios peppers
Cole slaw
Baked beans
Cookie

These meals are available by donation, and they will accept any donation amount because they know many of us are recovering from the July 21 flash flood.

Stop by to learn about recovery.

Pick up lunch, and give a big donation if you are able!

1 We need 4 bales of straw, y'all.

2 We need an affordable rental that is handicap accessible and allows pets. Alternatively, could you donate a double wide in good condition?

3 We need someone to help haul a camper out of a property in Rock Cave to the transfer station.

Are you able to help with any of these needs? Let us know in the comment section.

It's day 36 of AMAC flood relief.

Today we did supply drops at seven of the households that filled out our Help Request Form. We first posted this form on July 25th to assist us in connecting help to households in a very comprehensive way.

Do YOU need flood recovery help, or do you know someone that does? Click on this link and fill out this Help Request Form: https://forms.gle/qrH4RYUba1sWR5zh9

During our adventures today, we were able to check out the big distribution center in Lewis County to pick up some of the needed supplies. We got to see our friends Brittney Barlett and Deanna Bush Palmer, and they have done a brilliant job of organizing that space.

WE ALSO MET A GOAT while we were dropping supplies and learning what clean up/rebuilding help still needs done at our neighbors' homes.
