We’re overdue for a Troop Takeover!

Tenderfoot Scout Waylon says: My favorite scouting memory so far was in Meriwether which was my first summer camp in BSA. Meriwether has a shop and it had these rubber chickens which we were messing around with them and Wyatt turned the chicken into and instrument and called it a guichicken kind of combining a guitar and a chicken which it was very funny. I am happy to go there again.

Troop Takeover!

Scout Phoenix says: My favorite scout moment was probably at summer camp when Wyatt played a rubber chicken like a guitar and called it the ga-chicken. The reason I think so is because it was so funny. I can't wait for summer camp at Camp Meriwether, and I’m going to probably bring my own chicken this time.

We spent a beautiful PNW evening gold panning at Daybreak Park. No one is paying for college with their findings, but a few scouts found a new hobby to enjoy. We’ll call it a win.

Noel says: My favorite scouting memory was when I went to Camp-o-ree! It was so fun! I did a staff hunt, and we won it harrrrrd. I also played as an injured scout in first aid. And we got to have a grilled cheese sandwich contest! 100% fun!

A little bit (lot) of rain wasn’t stopping scouts from having a great time this weekend! Caves were explored, campfires were built, & memories were made.

Troop Takeover!
Star scout Nathan says: My favorite thing about scouting is getting to go to summer camp. You get to pick all of the merit badge classes you want to take, and you can decide if you want to take a class with a friend from the troop or go just meet new friends when you get to class. I really liked meeting scouts from other troops last summer and having some freedom to go explore camp with friends and try new things. This summer I’m really looking forward to spending some more time down at Meriwether’s beachfront.
