Youth Efforts Against Hunger Raises Record Funds at 13th Annual Fundraiser Dinner Vancouver, WA (Date: 02 / 08 / 2026 )
Youth Efforts Against Hunger (YEAH) celebrated a tremendous success with its annual fundraiser dinner held on January 22, 2026, at The Heathman Lodge in Vancouver. The event, themed around community magic and youth empowerment, set a new record by achieving a $25,000 matching gift, significantly boosting support for local youth and efforts to combat hunger in Clark County.
The evening featured a silent auction and spirited live auction showcasing generous donations of gifts from community members, businesses, and partners. Attendees enjoyed an enchanting atmosphere while contributing to a cause that directly benefits both families facing food insecurity and the next generation of leaders. This year's record-breaking fundraising builds on YEAH's ongoing momentum, including the recent delivery of 10,500 pounds of high-quality protein from youth-raised animals at the Clark County Fair, bringing the annual total to over 14,000 pounds donated to the Clark County Food Bank.
These contributions provide thousands of nutritious meals to those in need while offering youth hands-on experience in agriculture, leadership, and civic engagement. “The overwhelming generosity at this year's dinner demonstrates the incredible support for our Clark County youth and our shared mission to strengthen the local food system,” said Thomas Hann, Board Director, YEAH. “With the funds raised, we can continue providing essential resources— from animal purchases and feed to mentoring and processing. The magic happens as YEAH Youth raise and care for these animals and give back meaningfully to their community.”
YEAH's integrated program, supported by partnerships with 4-H, Grange & FFA groups, local feed stores, meat processors, the Clark County Fair, and dedicated families and businesses, empower youth to raise project animals that directly address hunger. The organization also purchases finished animals raised by youth at market value, allowing these young producers to receive fair compensation as they help meet community needs. The perpetual scholarship fund further invests in youth for years to come, fostering long-term growth in animal husbandry, project management, communication, and responsible leadership—skills that prepare them for success in agriculture or any field.
YEAH extends heartfelt thanks to all attendees, sponsors, donors, auction contributors, and volunteers who made this record-breaking evening possible. Their commitment highlights what can be achieved when the community unites to support its youth and fight hunger.
