Hearts of Hope Ranch Inc.

Hearts of Hope Ranch Inc. Hearts of Hope Ranch Inc. Our sanctuary not only provides a sanctuary for these horses.

is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing lifelong sanctuary for senior and at-risk horses—animals often overlooked due to age, and/or injuries. We believe that every horse deserves dignity, safety, and care in their later years, and we are committed to honoring their lives with the respect and gentleness they deserve. It also offers them a new purpose; servi

ng as partners in Equine-Assisted Transformation programs. Through guided, ground-based interactions with these wise and intuitive animals, individuals of all backgrounds can build confidence, resilience, communication skills, and emotional awareness. Our mission is rooted in the transformative power of the human-horse connection. By bringing together people in need of healing, with horses in need of a home, we foster empathy, growth, and mutual restoration. We envision a world where aging horses are valued, and where people are empowered to grow through kindness, connection, and experiential learning.

Soooooo….. Freedom now has a new name. Catching this little one can take a toll on you 😂. She is a lot of attitude in a tiny body 🤣 (which most ponies are). If you want to burn calories, try catching this little one 🤣. She has been true to that name for sure, however I kept getting a vibe that this name was something from the past that was no longer serving her and needed a reboot. One of our volunteers was cleaning the pasture and told me that for some reason she wanted to call her “Mazzy”. This person did not know that I had been contemplating changing her name so I told the volunteer about it and then said “Freedom was letting you know what new name she wants, therefore she will now be Mazzy”. 😊 We never change names, however the vibe I was getting from her was telling me that she wanted a new one. Since changing her name, she is warming up to me more; I have to have a treat in my hand first, but at least she will let me pet her nose and forehead. Before, she would not let me get near her at all. I’m looking forward to getting to know her more and gaining her trust 💕🐴.

It’s a free-ranging day for some of the horses. Beau “aka” Big Red might have a hoof abscess brewing so he will be hanging out in the arena today with his girlfriend, Rena while Nemo and Annie free-range the property. Apparently 40 degree weather is perfect weather for a swim 🤦🏻‍♀️

Halloween throw-back from when we did a Horsey Halloween event here. Me and Nemo were Wonder Woman and Captain America. My mom and Beau were African Safari themed. Beau was a giraffe and my mom was a zebra… cutest thing watching them and a fun day doing ground-based Halloween themed obstacles course in the arena with a group of our friends 🥰
