Most things from 3,000 years ago are history. This is different.

For generations, Jews have gathered to hear the Ten Commandments read aloud on Shavuot. The same words, the same moment, carried forward by every person who showed up before us. This year, come carry it forward too.

Shavuot begins at sunset on Thursday, May 21. The Ten Commandments are read on Friday, May 22. If you are a young Jewish professional looking to experience this and be part of something that has lasted thousands of years, come hear them this Shavuot.

Today marks the second yahrtzeit of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, of blessed memory.

As Chairman of CYP International he worked tirelessly to help build Jewish communities around the world, with a special place in his heart for young Jewish professionals. He traveled, sat with shluchim, and asked the hard questions about how to best serve this generation. And he did it all with genuine warmth and care.

Today marks the second yahrtzeit of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, of blessed memory.

As a Shliach of the Rebbe and Chairman of CYP International, he worked tirelessly to help build Jewish communities around the world, with a special place in his heart for young Jewish professionals. Young Jews around the world are falling in love with Shabbat.

It’s the one night you don’t have to be available to the noise. No performance, no filters. Just a table and people who actually show up for each other.

St. Pete was the proof. 203 people. The largest young professionals Shabbat dinner in the city’s history. Sold out a week early.

Huge credit to and for building something truly special for the Jewish community.

This isn’t an outlier, it’s a pattern. We aren’t drifting away from our roots. We’re running toward them.

Because in a world that never stops, one night that does is everything.

But “are the right things actually changing me?”
