Today, while delivering food baskets to our elderly veterans, several told us how much they miss seeing trick-or-treaters.
With so many Halloween events now being trunk-or-treats, many seniors never get to see the kids in their costumes. You wouldn’t believe how much joy a few little ones dressed up for Halloween could bring them.
🎃 **So maybe we can all do a little something to bring them some Halloween joy.**
If you’re able, maybe consider reaching out to a local assisted living facility, nursing home, or senior residence to see if it might be possible to bring your children by in their Halloween costumes. And if you have a little extra candy to spare, perhaps you could donate some so these facilities can welcome their own little visitors.
And don't forget about the elderly neighbors who may be waiting for trick-or-treaters of their own. A little visit can mean so much. **We’re going to do the same!**
