The Irish Hills Community Legacy

The Irish Hills Community Legacy A vehicle for residents, business owners and community-minded individuals to invest in the future of the Irish Hills. Box 805, Brooklyn MI 49230.

The Irish Hills Community Legacy was organized last year as a vehicle for residents, business owners and community-minded individuals to invest in the future of the Irish Hills by giving them a place to donate their money to help fund community projects. The two main projects the group is currently pursuing include a potential trail project and the building of the Irish Hills Community Center. The

community center would be similar in scope to a YMCA and meeting facility that would offer programs and space for the entire Irish Hills communities focusing on senior and youth activities. The proposed pathway project intends to build on the success of the Clark Lake Spirit Trail with a connecting trail running from the Village of Brooklyn to the current Clark Lake Spirit Trail. Funds will be raised by the Legacy to finance these projects and others yet to be determined. Tax deductible checks to support the Legacy projects can be made out to the Irish Hills Community Legacy and sent to P.O. Find us on Twitter at https://twitter.com/IH_Legacy

🇺🇸🎆 We’re Almost There, Brooklyn! 🎆🇺🇸

Thanks to an incredible community, we’ve raised $34,053 toward our $40,000 goal!

That means we’re only $5,947 away from lighting up the sky this July!

If just 120 people donated $50, we’d be there.
If 60 people donated $100, we’d be there.

Every donation matters because our fireworks show is 100% community funded and 100% for Brooklyn.

Let’s finish this together!

We've recently received a lot of questions about the Brooklyn Dam Connectivity Project. We thought we would answer some of them through a series of Q&A posts answered by our experts. Additional information regarding this project can be found here: https://www.riverraisin.org/brooklyn-dam or if you have a question of your own, email our outreach coordinator at: [email protected]

Q: Will other dams be required to be removed as a result of the modification of the Brooklyn dam?

A: No other dams will be required to be removed as a result of the Brooklyn Dam Connectivity Project. The determination to remove or modify a dam is soley the decision of the dam owner.
