Busy week at EBI, and this was a highlight.

So grateful to Assemblymember Stefani L. Zinerman for coming through to Restoration Academy and seeing firsthand the learning community our young people experience every day at RA. That kind of presence matters.

Big shoutout to Principal Simon, who doesn’t just talk about collaboration but lives it. Thank you for welcoming EBI as RA’s afterschool partner. We’re proud to build alongside you for these young people.

What better way to close out Women’s History Month than by hearing directly from the young people about the women who have been most influential in their lives. Happy Women's History Month.

YPLC students from Nelson Mandela School for Social Justice stepped into the world of sneaker design and marketing through a hands-on collaboration with Solecial Studies 👟🔥.

Young People explored the full creative process. They developed design briefs, selected materials and colors, created marketing plans, and built sales strategies for their sneaker campaigns. They also practiced storytelling and presentation skills as they shared the vision behind their designs.

Through this experience, students learned how creativity connects to business and communication in the real world. Inspired by the legacy of Nelson Mandela, students used design and storytelling to express resilience, leadership, and the power of their voice.

Special thank you to Sean and the .ssca team for guiding our students through this powerful learning experience.

We continue to highlight the great ancestor, Ms. Ella Baker, this Women’s History Month. Here she speaks at the Puerto Rico Solidarity Rally of 1974 where other great women like Angela Davis spoke out to advocate for PR’s independence and anti-imperialism.

“…you and I cannot be free in America or anywhere else where there is capitalism and imperialism until we get people to recognize that they themselves have to make the struggle and have to make the fight for freedom everyday in the year, every year, until they win it.” ~Ms. Ella Baker

EBI is proud to kick off honoring our ancestral matriarch . We are honored to celebrate a remarkable woman each and everyday by building on Ms. Baker’s through our work and her example of true leadership. 👑
