AVAILABLE: Tuna!

Tuna is a lovely, calm, and patient cat. He enjoys being around people, and he is also one of the prettiest cats you will ever find—a “brown” tabby with prominent black stripes, polka dots on his paws that when you look more carefully you see that his gray is really black fur with frosted tips.

We rescued him from Midwood, Brooklyn after a local bodega shut down and left him to find his own way. Because of this, he seems prefers company while he eats breakfast, and if you leave the room, he will come meowing after you until you return to help him finish the meal. Otherwise, he is normally a quiet cat doesn’t meow much, but he does however have a loud purr!

He has been known to be a lap cat if you initiate and really likes to be around people - during dinner parties he will be front and center or observe from his cat bed in the dining room. He loves to play with wand toys especially, but he also loves to play with yarn and yarn toys...basically he will bat at anything that dangles!

He’s really a good boy. His calm demeanor and people-friendly vibe should make him a good member of just about any household with or without kids. Tuna is fully vaccinated (FVRCP & Rabies), Microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative and dewormed/deflea-ed.

Happy Rescue Day to Doris! 🥹
It’s been 4 years together and I am so happy I found you.

Thank you to Greenpoint Cats for the late night text alerting me to where she had been dumped by some kids on an abandoned lot near my apartment. Doris is super smart, but she was just a 6 month old house kitten with 2 serious congenital eye conditions that resulted in partial blindness. Anything could have happened on that busy street, but this girl got lucky.

Astro left this world last night on his own terms. I don’t know why and as you can see in the emergency report, they didn’t really either, all options seemed complicated and guarded. An MRI to determine the (possibly) exact spinal damage cause would have been the next step, but this service isn’t offered on the weekend even if he had been admitted. They didn’t feel it was fully justified to admit him last night so we didn’t choose this option. I think he was in extreme survival mode outside and once he felt safe and warm (and pain free with meds), he made the choice to end the week+ long struggle. There was one moment I shared with him last night that will forever stick in my memories…he turned his head ever so slowly towards me and gave me a good long look before fully relaxing and going to sleep. I think this was his way of saying thank you.

I am so thankful to everyone that helped me get him inside, really rallied with us. And T hank you to all of his supporters, this work is never possible without you both financially and emotionally.

Rest In Peace, Sweet Astro 🖤🤍

NEW RESCUE 3/15: ASTRO
Astro has been outside crying in pain from what appears to be a possible back injury for over a week in South Slope, Brooklyn. I ran over at midnight when I learned about him, but he was too terrified and made himself inaccessible in a neighboring yard. I reconvened in the AM with fellow rescuers & to devise a new plan. Little did we know, a nearby neighbor was doing the same. He sat calmly with him in the yard and eventually, allowed him to scoop him up slowly with a towel. He is now with us at and the baseline work up will not be cheap here :/

We are setting a fundraiser goal at $1,500 to cover exam, sedation, pain meds, x-rays and maybe some baseline blood. Please help us help Astro by:

AVAILABLE: Dexter and his mitts are kind of an icon. He likes to show off these gifts with modeling like a meerkat (often) and in sport such as rock climbing (he loves a high scenic vantage point!), playing fetch like a dog and soccer. He is big-hearted and used to being the center of attention, so he would do best in a vibrant home with lots of human connections and no other pets.

Dexter is FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed/defleaed and ready to move into your arms!!!!

Theo is about 10 years old and one of the most loving boys we have ever met. Found 2 weeks ago wandering around without a microchip or claim of ownership, he was clearly once loved and seemingly now abandoned.

We want Theo to have the best second chance possible! He would do great in a foster home with young kids and even with other cats! DM us if you’d like to foster him!

Jack is doing much better than when we found him in August. His eye was gooey, squinty, scabby and required a few eye meds & steroids. Once it cleared up, we could finally see what was going on….Jack had Entropion (full explanation on the last slide!). This is often a congenital condition where the eyelid rolls inwards causing the fur and lashes to scrape against the cornea until it is surgically corrected. TOMORROW IS THAT DAY! Thanks to , Jack will hopefully feel a relief like he’s never known. We need a little help covering this surgery & his previous exams/meds that helped us get here so we are posting a little fundraiser to help with these costs. Please consider donating & sharing his story so we can continue saying yes to kitties in need of a little help like Jack 🖤

This is “Hyper”. She is a young female that was spayed last week. As it turns out, she had a uterine cyst AND Hydrometra. Hydrometra is one of the conditions that can lead to Pyometra and without removal of the uterus, she would have died soon. Pyometra is a uterine infection that fills the uterus with pus until it becomes septic. Older cats are at an even higher risk, this girl is only 1-2 years old. PLEASE SPAY YOUR KITTIES!!
