We were pleased to be part of such an important partnership! Health Imperatives Cape programs distributed 200 meals through this effort, and we are honored to be part of a broader solution to combat food insecurity in our communities.
What can happen when community partners come together with a shared purpose? This week, it meant 1,300 nutritious shelf-stable meals reaching neighbors across Cape Cod through Cape & Islands United Way's distribution efforts.
A heartfelt thank you to the incredible volunteers from the John W. Hughan Foundation, who gathered at Stone Horse Yacht Club to pack meals that support local individuals and families facing food insecurity. The Foundation's broader effort provided meals to numerous organizations across the Cape, and we were honored to help distribute a portion of those meals to community partners throughout our region.
The 1,300 meals distributed through Cape & Islands United Way were delivered to Brazilian Resource Center, Health Imperatives, Cape Veterans' Outreach, A Baby Center, Hands of Hope, and Faith Family Kitchen—organizations that work every day to strengthen our community.
We are grateful to the John W. Hughan Foundation, the volunteers, and all of our nonprofit partners for making this effort possible. Every meal distributed is a reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together.
