We’ve seen firsthand the devastating impact of violence on individuals and families and the lasting trauma it leaves in its wake.

Survivors deserve safety, support, and access to the resources they need to heal.

A heartfelt thank you to Melinda French Gates and Pivotal for once again expanding their commitment to women’s health across the globe. In 2025, Health Imperatives was the proud recipient of $2.5 million to enhance programs for the women we serve in Southeastern MA & the Cape and Islands. We are extremely grateful for your generosity, wisdom and committment to helping us keep the women we serve healthy, safe, strong and economically secure.

Too many women walk out of their doctors’ office with no diagnosis, no treatment and no plan.

Exciting news to share! After 13 years at the helm of Health Imperatives, Julia Kehoe has announced she’s concluding her tenure as CEO. Today, the Board of Directors has announced that Stephanie Brown, CEO of Casa Myrna, will lead the organization beginning September 14th. Health Imperatives is proud to support women across Southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape & Islands by providing sexual and reproductive healthcare, survivor services, nutrition, support, housing, assistance, and more.

As a 2025 recipient of a $2.5 million grant through Global Action for Women’s Health, we are able to expand critical services for women who need them most.
