The Brockport PTSA is deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of one of our second-grade students, Aaliyah Whitson.

Our hearts are with Aaliyah’s family and loved ones as they navigate this unimaginable loss. We also hold her classmates, teachers, and friends close in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.

On Monday, support services will be available for students and staff at both Barclay and Ginther Schools. We encourage families to check in with their children and reach out if additional support would be helpful.

Please join us in keeping Aaliyah and her family in your hearts.

Today, the Brockport PTSA honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. King reminded us that “everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.” On this day of reflection, we encourage our school community to talk with our children about kindness, fairness, courage, and standing up for what is right—even when it’s hard.

May we continue to build a community rooted in respect, inclusion, and service, where every student feels seen, valued, and supported. Together, we can help shape a future that reflects Dr. King’s vision of justice and unity for all.

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The Brockport PTSA is heartbroken over the loss of one of our Brockport Central School District students. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family, friends, classmates, teachers, and all who are grieving this unimaginable loss.

During this incredibly difficult time, we want the family to know that our school community stands beside them with love, compassion, and support. No family should have to walk through such a tragedy alone.

The Brockport PTSA had a wonderful time at the Ginther School Movie Night! 🎬🎄 Families enjoyed reading a book together, watching two movies, making crafts, taking photos, visiting with Santa 🎅 as he handed out ornaments, enjoying pizza and treats, and listening to Christmas carolers. It was such a fun and memorable evening for everyone!✨
