I think I just found my new favorite way to deface currency.

Sometimes it’s so surreal watching what is happening in this country. The people with American flags flying all over their social media and on the backs of their trucks are the exact ones clapping as the right to vote is attacked.

I really just can't comprehend what I'm watching. The right to vote is a basic tenet of a representative democracy, and it's under attack based entirely on lies. It's being stripped away using scapegoats, and the people claiming patriotism are cheering for it. Is the experiment over? Have ignorance, fear and lies won? Has fascism won? All I can do is look on in shock as those proudly flying American flags speak the most un-American sentiments I've ever heard in my life.

Time to Unite.
United we stand.
United we talk to our friends and neighbors about showing up to vote.
United we show up in droves on November 3rd.
We have 62 days.

Don't let them take your voice. Don't let them take your country. Get involved, check your registration status using official resources, and make a plan to vote in-person. This is it. We have to show up. Real patriots have to outnumber those who've become lost to propaganda fear, lies, and fascism.

Let's look at the big picture of what's happening right now: The constant online fighting, the total garbage and fake news on social media, using ICE to terrorize families, the attempts to restrict voting rights, attacking of those in our communities, name calling, and general division...none of it is isolated. These patterns match the exact methods used by authoritarian regimes throughout history to undermine democracies.

Let's call everything exactly what it is: it is all completely fake. There is no massive immigration threat, and there is no widespread voting fraud. It is pure lies and disinformation manufactured to scare the s**t out of people. We see it every day in local comment sections, filled with toxic hatred targeting the "others." This is fascism. MAGA politicians and right-wing media weaponize these stories about non-citizens voting to justify straight-up voter suppression and use it as an excuse to push for laws that purge voter rolls, shut down polling places, and restrict mail-in ballots. In a free country, voting isn't made more difficult. When you call out the facts, MAGA followers don't even try to debate—they just double down on the lies, parrot the narrative they've been given, resort to childish name-calling like "libtard" or "communist" , and attack. Historically, this is exactly what fascism does. It demands that people completely stop believing in actual facts and reality, and replace them with total loyalty to a leader’s narrative. When a movement expects you to reject documented truth, it isn’t politics anymore, it’s authoritarian control. We see it clearly in the current anti-immigrant rhetoric, where completely manufactured fear is used to justify sending armed, masked federal agents into neighborhoods to drag people off the street. It is completely incomprehensible how anyone can watch masked men terrorize communities like this and actually cheer it on. This is un-American.

Stripping away people's rights, targeting human beings, restricting voting, and fueling division all while trying to break our democracy isn't patriotic. It is completely unpatriotic, unconstitutional, and an absolute affront to basic American values.

These lies are causing problems for everyone, and it has to stop. Voter fraud doesn't exist to the extent it could impact election results. Attacking elections isn't patriotic, or democratic. Full stop. Immigrants are not harmful to our country. Full stop.

Even if you don't care about politics or follow the news, you need to wake up and see through the total deception that is the MAGA movement. Don't buy into the panic, the name calling, the lies, the fear, or the total bulls**t they are trying to sell you. It is time to turn off the noise, stand up against the hatred, and actually protect the country we love before they destroy it from the inside out. Get out there, fight for what's right, and VOTE! They're already desperately trying to restrict who gets to vote in the midterms. Isn't that proof that it's the last useful tool we have to fight this?

Plan to vote in-person. Make the plan now. Take the day off work. Arrange a ride to your poll. If mail in voting is still available then, that's great, but I wouldn't count or plan on it now.

The GEO Group is profiting off the suffering of our neighbors unjustly held in Moshannon Valley Detention Center.

Behind every earnings report are real people and real consequences. We’re demanding accountability.

I've noticed that a whole lot of people suddenly become biblical scholars whenever they want to justify being cruel to immigrants.

"Christians follow the law."

Bulls**t.

Jesus spent his time with the poor, the sick, the outcasts, the foreigners, and the people society decided didn't matter.

He had some pretty harsh words for the religious leaders who cared more about appearing righteous than actually practicing mercy.

"We must obey God rather than men." — Acts 5:29

"You shall love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt." — Deuteronomy 10:19

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me." — Matthew 25:35

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, hypocrites! ... You have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness." — Matthew 23:23

"These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules." — Isaiah 29:13

Using the Bible as a weapon against vulnerable people while ignoring the parts about mercy and compassion isn't Christianity. Claiming God supports your cruelty is exactly the kind of religious hypocrisy Jesus condemned.

That's not faith. That's using God's name to excuse harm, and it's a sin. Enjoy hell. ☝️

Maybe before worrying about who is "breaking the law," worry about whether you're breaking the command Jesus called the greatest: love your neighbor.

But hey... I'm sure Jesus is really impressed by the people who pushed away the stranger in His name. 🙃
