On Day of Caring Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club and Livingston Golden Hearts Rotaract Club put together 100 autism sensory kits that were donated to Great Start Livingston, The Arc Livingston, and Work Skills. For individuals on the autism spectrum, everyday environments can sometimes feel overwhelming. Bright lights, loud noises, unfamiliar surroundings, or unexpected changes can create sensory challenges that make it difficult to feel comfortable and regulated.

That’s why autism sensory kits can make such a meaningful difference. 💙

Sensory kits provide simple, calming tools—such as fidget items, ear plugs, sunglasses, visual supports, and other sensory-friendly resources—that can help individuals manage overwhelming moments, focus, communicate their needs, and feel more comfortable in their surroundings.

Most importantly, these kits help families feel seen, supported, and prepared.

At Livingston County United Way, we believe that when we work UNITED we make a positive impact for our community đź’™

Thank you to Steve MacDermaid and Mike Newstead for completing a Day of Caring 3.0 project for a senior in Brighton yesterday. It was incredible that you took one of your Sundays to go above and beyond for this individual. We appreciate you and are so happy she was able to get the help she needed.

đź’™ Help Us Wish Audrey Good Luck! đź’™

We want to give our heartfelt appreciation to Audrey Choate, who will be leaving us after a year and a half as our Development Coordinator.

As you can see from these photos, Audrey has an infectious smile—and if you know her, you know she also has a heart of gold. 💕 She has been such a wonderful part of our team, and we are incredibly grateful for all she has contributed to Livingston County United Way and our community.

Audrey is heading back to school to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. While we are definitely going to miss her, we are SO excited for her next chapter and know she will continue to make a tremendous impact on the world around her. 🩺❤️

Tomorrow is Audrey’s last day! Please stop by the office between 8:00–11:00 a.m. to say goodbye and wish her good luck!

Thank you, Audrey, for being such an important part of our team. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all that you accomplish.

GO GET ’EM, AUDREY!! 🎉💙🙌

Day of Caring wouldn't have happened without our amazing committee, our great sponsors listed at the end of the video, Citizens/The Hanover Insurance Group for the wonderful lunch, and all of our incredible volunteers. JOB WELL DONE LIVINGSTON COUNTY!!!

Grateful to Be There âšľ

What an incredible way to start the school year! We were truly honored and grateful to be invited to join the staff of Fowlerville Community Schools on their staff's welcome back day and share a little about Livingston County United Way.

We have so much respect for the educators, administrators, and staff who dedicate themselves to our community’s children every day. Being welcomed into your first-day-back activities meant a great deal to us, and we are thankful for the opportunity to share our mission and talk about how we can all step up to the plate together for Livingston County.

Thank you for opening your doors to us and for the work you do every day. We are proud to be your United Way and honored to be a part of this community! ⚾❤️

Let’s knock it out of the park together!
