Welcome, Karen Storey to the Work Skills Foundation Board!

With more than 25 years in education at Brighton Area Schools, much of it in special education, Karen has spent her career helping people recognize their strengths and find their path forward. Brighton is truly home for Karen. She and her husband Scott are celebrating 25 years of marriage this year, and together they're raising their four sons in the very house her own parents built.

Today, as President & CEO of the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce, Karen connects businesses, workforce, and community throughout the region she's called home her whole life. Now she brings that same passion to Work Skills Foundation, rooted in her belief that everyone deserves the chance to discover their abilities and find pride through meaningful work.

As a teacher, a mom, a Chamber leader, and now a WSF board member, Karen's mission has stayed the same: believing in people, creating opportunity, and helping build a community where everyone belongs.

Welcome, Karen! We are so grateful to have you here 🩷

We had a fantastic time celebrating our incredible artists last night at the Fowlerville Family Fair / Fowlerville Agricultural Society!

It’s been a pure joy watching the progress of these art pieces come to life, then being recognized at the fair with all kinds of accolades.

So many red & blue ribbons, and a special honor for my friend, Zach, who earned Best in Show.

Our friends at WSCArtisanCorner are amazing, and I encourage you to stop by and see for yourself! And, if you’re interested in adding to your art collection, you know where to find us 😘

Congratulations to all of the prize winners: Roy, Nicole, Erin, Heather, Nick O, Maranda, Anna, Zach D, Dominic, Sam H, & Holly!! We are incredibly proud of each of you.
