Our Lady of Fatima At St. Margaret's Shrine

Our Lady of Fatima At St. Margaret's Shrine St. Margaret's Shrine is the home of numerous religious shrines and gardens. Our Lady of Fatima has been a part of St. Margaret’s for well over 30 years.

About 1 1/2 years ago the Portuguese Community was contacted by St. Margaret’s and offered the opportunity to relocate Our Lady to a significantly bigger, more elevated, more visible, central location within the grounds. A Committee comprised of representatives from Our Lady of Fatima Church and the Vasco da Gama Portuguese Cultural & Civic Center was created to head this endeavor called Our Lady

of Fatima Shrine Project. The original statue of Our Lady remains and has been restored as there have been numerous witnesses of miracles performed by this particular image. The grounds went through considerable re-construction performed by members of our community skilled as masons, electricians, landscapers, machine operators and laborers. The extent of labor, time, dedication, effort and support has been immense and too much to put into detail. Our Lady of Fatima Shrine was built with the love and support of the Portuguese Community brought together by our faith and commitment to Our Lady. Our Lady of Fatima Shrine is a sanctuary to experience spirituality, peace and healing.
