Please join us at the Carriage House of the Horicon Historical Society on Sunday, August 16 at 3pm for an afternoon of songs by Jimmy Van Huesen. Laurence Meltzer, nephew of Van Huesen, will narrate the program with insights into the composers life and music. The program was produced by Laurence Meltzer and Greta Heilman and it will include storytelling, soloists, and several "sing along" opportunities. Karin Peet, Didi Dreyer, and Joe Millington will be featured as soloists.

Van Heusen, Sinatra's favorite song writer, composed for movies, television, and theater. He was awarded 4 Academy Awards and an Emmy. For the last twenty years of his life, he lived on Brant Lake with his wife Bobbie.

Someone found and reported what appears to be a wedding band in the water by the public boat launch. It has a date engraved on the inside. DM us if you’re missing this band and we’ll get you in touch with the party that found it.

The Brant Lake Association Golf Tournament was held on July 31st at Cronin’s Golf Course. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the tournament a great success!

We also had a four-way tie in the putting contest, which meant a putt-off was needed to determine the winner. Congratulations to Nate Denz, who came out on top!
