🏆🧹 Golden Plunger & Golden Broom Awards 🧹🏆

We love celebrating excellence, teamwork, and taking pride in the homes God has provided for our program participants.

This month’s awards go to:

🥇 1st Place – Neihardt House
🥈 2nd Place – Prairie House
⭐ Runner-Up – Hunter House

Out of all 7 houses in our program, these homes stood out for their cleanliness, organization, and teamwork. It takes dedication from everyone in the house to create an environment that reflects responsibility, accountability, and respect for one another.

Congratulations to all the residents who put in the hard work! Keep it up, and remember—how we care for the things we’ve been given says a lot about our gratitude and character.

Last night we had the privilege of honoring Tyler with a towel.

To most people, a towel may seem like a simple gift. But to us, it represents a servant’s heart.

Tyler has consistently shown what it means to serve others. Whether anyone is watching or not, he is always willing to step up, lend a hand, encourage someone, and put others before himself.

Just as Jesus used a towel when He washed His disciples’ feet, this towel serves as a reminder of the impact one person can make when they choose to serve with humility and love.

Thank you, Tyler, for being an example of service in action. We appreciate you and all that you do for those around you.

Last night was a powerful reminder of what true leadership and love look like.

Before service, we took time to wash the feet of those in our program, just as Jesus washed the feet of His disciples in John 13. The King of Kings knelt down and served others, showing us that greatness is found in humility, not position.

As we washed feet, it wasn’t about the water or the towel. It was about honoring one another, serving one another, and remembering that no one is above loving people where they are.

What a beautiful moment of humility, grace, and brotherhood. We are grateful for all that God is doing in the lives of those at Standing By The Door.

“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.” — John 13:14
