At the end of week 2 we asked students what they learned. They spoke about trusting God, even in things that are hard and they don’t understand. They talked about looking to God even in the small things, knowing nothing is too small for him. They talked about our need for God, and though God does not need us, he wants us.

Week 2 of Discipleship Focus 2026 is in the books!

Students settled into the rhythm of work at Silver Dollar City and dove deeper into community with one another. The group chat is no stranger to messages like, “Where you at?” and “Leaving in 5 if you want to come.” This week’s memories even included an unexpected roller coaster evacuation selfie.

The Lord continues to orchestrate the sounds of summer with timing only He could plan. As students wrestled in Discovery with truths about God’s goodness and sovereignty, real-life challenges created opportunities to put those truths into practice. In the midst of uncertainty, they are learning what it looks like to trust the God who remains good, faithful, and in control.

At the end of week one, we asked students what their biggest takeaway was. They read about the kind of relationship God wants with them and who God says they are. As they read, many realized that some of the bricks in their foundation of faith were placed half a brick off and asked God to reset those bricks. We are encouraged by the strides they are already taking and are excited to see their foundations strengthen through the next chapter!

Discipleship Focus week one is in the books!

This week students built community in such a way that no one feels like a stranger anymore. Some even feel like they’ve known each other all their lives, not just a week!

Even before they arrived, God was working on their hearts, and He will continue to work all things for their good (Romonas 8:28). We believe that what God has started, He will bring to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). We’re expecting God to be God, and he will not disappoint!

Some snow shots at Notch Pines! We’re loving to see the trees and swinging bridge covered in the snow❄️ Just thinking about students walking across this bridge in 4 short months as they get home from work!
