Today, DAV Clarence W. Byers, Sr. Chapter 83 proudly joins our nation in honoring the birthday of the United States Navy. ⚓🇺🇸

For more than two centuries, Navy Sailors have stood the watch—at sea, ashore, and around the world—serving with courage, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to our country.

At DAV, honoring that service means more than saying “thank you.” It means continuing to stand beside the men and women who served when they return home—helping veterans access the benefits, resources, transportation, advocacy, and support they have earned.

To every Sailor—past and present—and to the families who have supported them through deployments, long separations, and countless sacrifices, we salute you.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This year's theme, 'Celebrating Value and Talent,' reminds us that disability does not diminish skill, leadership, experience or the ability to contribute.

DAVFLA Chapter 83 salutes disabled veterans who continue to serve their families, workplaces and communities long after the uniform comes off. Throughout October, we will share employment resources, veteran stories and ways employers can better recognize the talent veterans bring to the workforce.
