We’re excited to share the story of the newly resurfaced Washoe Park tennis courts in Anaconda - a great example of what can happen when a community identifies a need and the right partners come together to make it happen. Stay tuned, coming up there will be an on court celebration!

Grants from the U.S. Tennis Association, Anaconda-Deer Lodge County and the Anaconda School District paid for the recent resurfacing of the tennis courts at historic Washoe Park. ⤵️ Find a link to the story in the comments.

Thank you to everyone who submitted an application for Round Two of the USTA Montana District Facilities Grant! 💚

The application period officially closed August 31, and we're excited to move into the next phase: committee review.

🔎 WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Committee members will review the applications and supporting information before making funding recommendations to the board. Applicants do not need to take any additional action right now. If the committee needs clarification or additional information, USTA Montana will reach out directly.

🏆 Once the review process is complete and funding decisions are finalized, Round Two grant recipients will be announced!

We are incredibly grateful to the Schools, Parks & Recreation departments, Community Tennis Associations, tennis organizations, and community advocates who submitted applications.

Every application represents something bigger than equipment or facility improvements - it represents people investing in the future of tennis in their community.

Stay tuned! We can't wait to share where the next round of USTA Montana facility investments will be headed. 🎾🏔️

🎾🏆 TRI-LEVEL TAKES OVER BUTTE! 🏆🎾

What a weekend of tennis at the USTA Montana Tri-Level League League in Butte! Thank you to our fantastic host

We were excited to see 3 men’s teams and 6 women’s teams competing across two levels - with plenty of great tennis, team spirit, laughs, and even a little Montana weather excitement to keep everyone on their toes! ☀️💨🌧️🌈😎

And now... Sectionals in VEGAS is the next stop for three teams! 🎰🎾

🏆 Slice of the Big Sky - Billings/Glendive
They came ready to play, earned the win, and are headed to Sectionals! And apparently, that's how they do it in the 'Dive! 😎

🏆 Drop Shot Like It's Hot - Bozeman
Another championship performance and a ticket punched to Vegas!

🏆 Salt, Lime & Tennis Time - Bozeman
They lived up to their name and they're Vegas-bound too! 🍋‍🟩🎾

All three teams will represent Montana at the USTA Intermountain Tri-Level Section Championships in Las Vegas this November! 🎰🌵

👏 Congratulations to our champs and a huge thank you to all nine teams who made the trip to Butte and helped make this year's Tri-Level Championships such a fun weekend.

We LOVE seeing more teams, more communities, and more players getting involved in Montana League tennis.

🎾✨ COMMUNITY COLLABORATION BRINGS NEW LIFE TO WASHOE PARK COURTS!

The courts at Washoe Park in Anaconda have a beautiful new look - and this project is a great example of what can happen when a community comes together around tennis! 🙌

The resurfacing was made possible through a collaborative effort between Anaconda-Deer Lodge County, the local school district, and dedicated community advocates who recognized a need, championed the project, and pursued grant support through the USTA.

👏 A huge thank you to everyone who advocated for these courts and helped turn an idea into reality. Your commitment has created a lasting community resource for students, players, families, and future generations of Anaconda tennis.

We also want to recognize for the outstanding resurfacing work and for helping bring these courts back to life! 🎾

💚 This is advocacy in action.

Projects like this happen when people speak up, build partnerships, and work together to find resources and solutions. Local government, schools, community advocates, and tennis organizations can accomplish so much when everyone rallies around a shared vision.
