Montana Fly Gals
Overview
Montana Fly Gals is a Bozeman/Gallatin Valley based womens’ fly fishing group founded in 2016. The group is a open to all women who have an interest in fly fishing. We have an active membership that has organized social gatherings, fishing outing, camping trips, fly tying, and educational talks from local experts/guides/members . We share information on local fishing des
tinations in our area, hatches, gear, and fly fishing techniques. We also serve as a resource for getting current information on local businesses that are involved in our sport, guides/outfitters, training, and trips being offered by these local shops/guides. Joining the group is a great way to find fishing partners and get current information on fly fishing in our area! As of April 2022, MT Fly Gals has over 1,240 members from Montana, the surrounding region, and even abroad. Group Goals/Charter
- Provide a means for women interested in fly fishing to connect with each other and build friendships.
- Provide education for women interested in learning how to fly fish or improve their fly fishing skills.
- Be inclusive - welcome women of all ages, races, income levels, skill levels, sizes, sexual/gender orientations, and religions.
- Provide a venue for organizing fly fishing outings and camping trips.
- Encourage women and girls to participate in the sport of fly fishing.
- Give back to our community.
- Protect our natural resources and public access
